CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

1209 Words

Audrey’s POV Morning came too quickly. I barely slept, my mind replaying everything I heard from the elders. They wanted me gone. Not tomorrow, Not next week… but Now. I stepped out of my room, keeping my shoulders straight, my expression neutral. No one could know what I had discovered. Not yet. The packhouse was already buzzing with activity. Warriors trained outside, voices carried through the halls, and the smell of food filled the air. Everything seemed normal. Like nothing was happening. But I knew better. I spotted Aiden near the training grounds, sharpening a blade. He glanced up as I approached, his usual smirk already in place. "You look like you saw a ghost," he said. I crossed my arms. "Not a ghost, Just trouble." He raced his head. "Trouble has a habit of finding you."
