“Are we okay? We unloaded a lot earlier, and I just want to know if we are okay or not.” Cherish grabs my hand between hers and pulls her body close to mine. “I love you, Caleb. I have always loved you. The only thing I wanted was to live a life with you. I would never leave you willingly; you have to know that.” Her eyes are searching mine, begging me to believe her. No matter my doubts, I know her words are true. I can feel it in the depths of my soul; I can feel her love for me. I reach out and gently caress her cheek.
