The doorbell rang.
Shit. That had to be him. Keep it together, Zoe, I told myself. Slow breaths.
“He's here.” Ruby sounded like she was panicking.
“Ruby you look great,” I reassured her.
“I gotta use the bathroom,” Ruby said.
She was definitely nervous because Ruby always used the bathroom when she was nervous.
“Seriously?” Kevin asked.
“Somebody answer the door,” she called as she rushed to her bathroom.
“Not it,” Kevin said.
