Chapter 1: Meeting Carter Part 1

1096 Words
Ariana Adams sat in the office of the number one most wanted man on the Top Fortune 100, Carter Anderson. He was known for being the top CEO in the whole country and for being a huge contributor to feeding the homeless in Milan. He owned a restaurant out there that catered to them. Twice a year, he would fly out to the restaurant to help them and check-up on how it was running. Everyone wanted to be beside him or beneath him. He was gorgeous with his messy auburn hair and forest green eyes. His charming smile made him hard to decline, and the way he carried himself professionally made most women fall at his feet. Some men too. She was lucky to have been accepted to work for his publishing house, Anderson Publishing Co. Lucky to have passed the many hoops needed to make sure she was qualified for the position. Her heart was leaping in her chest and her throat felt tight, as she waited to be given instruction. She just wanted to do this job correctly and to his liking. Her slender fingers wrapped around her pencil as she brought the end to her full lips, waiting. She tapped her pink nails on the arm of the black leather chair. She smoothed out the skirt of her black business casual dress and crossed her ankles, showcasing a pair of red mary-jane kitten heels on her feet. Her dark brown hair was up in a neat bun with a metal hair stick. The end had a ceramic ball on it with painted red roses, and a couple metal strands dangled from it with little white flowers on the ends of them. She hadn't had a moment to meet him yet. All of her interviews had been with his late father's assistant, Adalee, and not with Carter. She had yet to know what he was really like. If he was as stern and cold as they say in the media. If he was really that serious. She had heard he was boring, but a massive part of her didn't believe that he was how the media loved to portray him. She heard the door open from behind her and she sat up straight in her seat. She suddenly flung her hand, that was holding the pencil, down onto her lap and cursed under her breath as the lead jammed into her thigh. Carter Anderson carried a thick aura around him, as he walked around her chair to sit in his own black leather one. The air was filled with this pressing atmosphere that made her bring her thighs closer together, as her whole body tingled. It was like there was electricity in the air, and she didn't know what to do but to bite her bottom lip and try to not make the heat pooling between her thighs obvious. She slowly gazed up at him and noticed he had a concerned expression on his face. She awkwardly smiled at him and held her notebook in her lap, curling her fingers around the metal rings, as she pressed her thighs tighter together and let her bottom lip go from her teeth. "I was going to introduce myself, but it seems like I should find out if you're okay first." Carter raised an eyebrow at her, and she stared into his soft forest green eyes. Her gaze wandered up to his auburn hair. The sides were shaved short; while the top was pulled back in a small bun. Her gaze drifted down to his chiseled jawline and features. For a moment, she got lost on his gorgeous face until his words finally registered. "Huh?" Ariana jumped in her seat with a gasp. She was confused by his words and expression. Why would he need to be concerned about her? Did he know what he did to her just by being in the room? He had to know. Women had to act how she was all the time. Or was it something else? She had tried to hide her instant desire from him. She had thought she had, but maybe nothing passed by him. He wasn't some dumb guy at a bar that was drunk on his favorite drink. "Your leg. Seems you may have stabbed it with your pencil?" Carter raised an eyebrow at her, as he lifted his hand from the desk to point at it with his index finger. The sleeve of his dark suit slipped down his wrist and showcased his white button down beneath it and a silver 'A' cufflink sparked from his sleeve. She stared at his expensive steel toned watch that had a black face with a ruby dot above the '6'. A silver ring sat on his right ring finger and caught the light and her attention. Her gaze ran up to his hands and how slender they were. How veins grazed the surface and how he looked as if he played piano. Her gaze slowly wandered back down to his fingers and all she could do was wonder what they would feel like on her skin, between her thighs, pumping between them, making her scream out his name as she arched her back and came. "Ms. Adams?" Carter tried again to grab her attention for a moment. Ariana shook her head and cleared her throat. "I'm so sorry. What were you asking?" 'This was going great... Perfect. Magnificent. Look at her doing such a good job.' She got lost in her thoughts as she mentally kicked herself. It had been way... too long since she had someone between her legs and her thoughts were only proving that to be true. "Your thigh? Nevermind. Clearly, you're fine. My name is Carter Anderson. Owner of Anderson Publishing Co. I hear from Adalee that you are well qualified for this position, and I trust her. So, that being said... I have a few things to pass over to you." Carter took one of his hands from his desk and she watched him slowly reach beside him, turning his head to the side to look at what he was doing. A few strands of hair fell into his eyes and her breath caught as she pressed her thighs closer together, feeling a warm tingling sensation building further between them. If she wasn't careful, she would be cumming from doing absolutely nothing in front of him, and she would die of embarrassment if that happened. She needed to ignore the flames that set fire to her chest and made her filled with anticipation.
