Seven moons used to shine above to light the nights of the living and bring joy to the world of the dead. Seven moons are admired by the Gods and envied by a monster. Seven moons that later become one. Six went missing, and only one remained.
Bulan, the only remaining moon, escaped to the human world to protect himself from the Bakunawa— a sea monster and guardian of the land of the dead in the middle of the dark sea. A jealous monster who never felt loved wants to devour the seven moons because of envy.
As Bulan wanders around with humans, his peaceful life turned upside down after he came across one of the Gods who ordered the flowers to bloom, mermaids to sing, and fireflies to light the way so he could find him. The God who fell in love with Bulan and left his tree in Mt. Madjaas to look for the missing spirit of the moon— Sidapa, the God of death and the afterlife.
