*Ashley* The last day on the slopes has arrived, and I can hardly believe how much I’ve learned since we first got here. I’ve gone from clumsy falls and awkward slides to confidently carving my way down the mountain. The thrill of skiing is addictive, and I can’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment. I pull on my ski gear, the familiar weight of it feeling more comfortable now. Lucas is already outside, adjusting his goggles and chatting with a few other skiers. I take a moment to admire him, his stature strong against the backdrop of the snow-covered mountains. He’s been my teacher, my cheerleader, and my friend throughout this trip, and I can’t help but feel grateful for his patience. “Ready for one last run?” he asks, turning to me with that ever-charming smile. “Absolutely,”
