After his first shock, Axel requested Connor to go behind a tree to shift back to his human form. Tania, who understood what was going on, did the same thing for Alison. The only one that did not shift back was Alison's dad, Alpha Joshua. He patiently waited for the two of them to come back. Upon their arrival, he mind-linked Alison. He told her that he would be waiting for her at the end of the forest. He then looked where a still-shocked Axel was standing. He nodded to him with his head. Axel realized at once what Alpha Joshua's wolf intentions were and bounced back in respect and gratefulness. He then turned his gaze to where a silent Alison was standing.
