 Growing up, everyone tells you what to say, what to think and what to do. A moment of peace is overwritten when you are a woman living in a world where men control. They say don’t dress too short and don’t dress too reveling because in the end it’s our fault if we get caught in a twist. But then again, when we are seen out and about wearing nothing but jeans and hoodies, they tell us to dress to impress too. The world keeps saying that beauty doesn't matter, but we all know that’s crap. Because as I walk down the halls all I can see is the pain people and society have caused us.   Because we do not dress to impress men, we dress to feel like we own the place. We are confident and beautiful all without men coming around. And if a girl refuses to kiss a guy, it is nothing to be enraged by. Because we are not toys and we are not tools, we may have a pretty face, but we can kill and make you suffer too. Our feelings are not our weakness and we can hold onto them too. Because while men knee down and hide from their own feelings, we can go through hell and still manage to smile.  This generation is said to be weak, minds filled with clutter and dirt. We are said to have our minds filled with a scope, that our heads bleed in another world. But it’s not our fault that we shower in quite pain, it’s the problem that you should have been there to numb the pain. It’s not weakness we present, it's a new-found strength to not care and not show the feelings we present. Because as one problem keeps accruing, this generation stands tall. We speak for all and not just for one. We shower others in support and love, because we all know no one was there for us.   And as others stand aside and quiver in fear and pain, others will rise and fight for what is right. We do not stand down and we know limitations come, but it’s not weakness to ask for help nor is it to overcome it all. A fist can cause blood to come and flow, but words could shatter your world. Because it’s not the physical strength that someone has that makes them strong, it’s holding on and raising till it’s all gone.   We have seen people cry and we have seen people die, and trust you when I say it’s hard to love when you have been torn apart. Abonnement is nothing to be taken lightly, especially when you watch from afar as your family is being torn apart. And though love comes in many ways, only one can truly show it when they appear in your weakest moments.  Problems will come and problems will go, but one thing is for sure, this generation is far from small. We choose happiness over all, and we do not quiver when it’s hard to fight it all. Because while others choose to give people what they want, we take it to the next level and choose whatever the hell we want. Our paths are not chosen for us and we don’t care if you think it’s wrong or not. We fall and we rise and whether you are there for my lowest times depends on whether I share my fortune as well. Though dreams can be dull and happiness comes and goes, we are not weak in knowing what we want to fight for.   We either show too many emotions or we show none at all. Our emotions are high and our fire is bright, but that’s only because you taught us to shut the hell up. Now, as days go on and seconds pass on, we will not waste our time worrying over what you think is wrong with us. We speak our minds and shout up high because, whether you like it or not, my voice is no longer a quiet tone.   - A.A Raven
