Chapter 3

*DYLAN*

I woke up disorientated and as try to open my eyes, they shoot close by the light that is right above me. “Jesus? Is that you?” I say in a husky voice and I suddenly hear some hustle from beside me.

“Dylan? Are you awake? I hear Aaron call out for me

“Mhm” I hum since it’s really hard to talk

“It’s okay, you are alright. The doctor said that you would be waking up soon” Aaron informed me

“Where am I?” I ask squinting my eyes, to try and focus

“You are at a hospital. You need anything?” Aaron asked concerned

“Can you move that light out of my face?”

“Oh, yes sure” He said and not long after the light was gone from my eyes and they could focus on my surroundings. As I look around my eyes caught Aaron’s face. His eyes were puffy and red, and I notice he has the same clothes since the last time I saw his, his hair is all messed up and that is something weird on Aaron. His hair is always perfect, I was always envious of his hair.

“Why are your eyes puffy?” I asked as I rise my right hand and place it on his cheek, and he leans onto my hand and he holds it.

“It’s nothing to worry about, I’m just happy you are okay now” He said, and I hum at him. I can’t help but to let out a yawn, I hear Aaron chuckle lowly beside me.

“Get some rest you need it” Was the last thing I hear before drifting off into a deep sleep.

As I open my eyes, I see Aaron sleeping peacefully next to me on a really uncomfortable chair. I smile at him; I move my eyes to the table that is next to me and I notice a glad of water. I really need water. As I try to get the water with my left hand, I forgot I had the cat on that hand and as I’m about to touch the glass of water, my hand goes numb and I end up dropping the glass of water onto the floor and it shatter into a million pieces.

I see Aaron waking up paranoid looking both ways, before focusing on me. “Careful there is glass on the floor” I say and slump back into the bed and wince at the impact.

“Are you okay?” He asked worried

“I’m fine, I just didn’t know I was going to be completely useless” I say not meeting him in the eyes.

“You are not useless, you are hurt” He said, and I can’t help but let out a frustrated sigh. “Speaking of hurt, you will be staying with me and my family for the rest of this year.

“WHAT?!” I asked with wide eyes at what he just said to me.

“It’s not up for discussion, you will stay with us until you are fully healed, that way we can take care of you” He said and I was about to protest but he give me a death glare and I close my mouth shut.

In that same moment, the door of my room opens up and in comes a handsome looking man. He has dark brown hair that is styled in a sexy way and you know for a fact that his hair won’t get messy, he has tanned skin and honey eyes, they are two pools of honey and I just want to dip my tones in it. He has a beard but not too much, just the right amount, and he has a powerful aura all around him.

“Good morning miss Dylan. I’m happy to see that you are awake” The doctor said, and I can’t help but feel my heat beat skip. Or let’s just say one too many skips as the heart monitor that is attached to me goes crazy and I see the doctor’s face and he is trying to maintain a professional look, but he looks amused at what is happening right now. I feel a blush cross my face and I bring the blanket up to my face to hid it. This has to be the most embarrassing moment of my whole life.

The doctor clears his throat and looks up to me. “Mis Dylan my name is Dr. Enzo Romano, and I was the one that perform surgery one you. I am happy to announce that you got really lucky. As I already informed your boyfriend, you only got a cast on your left arm and right leg. You will be leaving in two days, since I still want to monitor you and make sure everything is alright, and I still need to check up on your injured to make sure they are properly closed and that they are not infected. Are there any questions?” The doctor finished

“I don’t have any questions” I say

“That’s good to hear. I will be on my way then if you need anything do not hesitant to ask Margot for help. I will visit you tonight and tomorrow morning. Take care” The doctor said, and I said my thanks at to what he responded with a you are welcome. I watch as he turned around and left the room, once he did, I let out a breath.

“You b***h!” Aaron said beside me with a hush toned.

“What?’ I asked playing the dumb card, but I knew exactly what he was referring to.

“You where eye f*cking the doctor”

“Shush!” I tell him in a giggle

“Too bad he thinks you are taken” Aaron said, and I frown. “But not to worry, I will make things right!”

“What are you talking about? I asked and I notice that Aaron is getting up from the chair. “Where are you going?” I asked panicked and not liking this idea.

“You will thank me later” He said, and he opened the door.

This guy is crazy, but I couldn’t ask for a better best friend to be at my said.
