Chapter 5

*DYLAN*

I see Dr. Romano leave the room and I notice Aaron’s grin. Aaron walks up to my bed and he places the things I asked on the table that is beside the bed. “What was that?” Aaron asked as he sits down on the chair next to my bed.

“What are you talking about?” I say not meeting his eyes

“Don’t lie to me! What did you guys do with that door closed?” He asked

“Nothing” I say way too quick for him to believe me

“Spill the tea sis!” He said in excitement

“I don’t kiss and tell” I tell him in a giggle

“You kissed?” He asked, clearly surprised but intrigued at the same time

“Shush! Not so loud!” I tell him

“But how?” He asked

“It just happened” I say with a shrug

“Was it good?” He asked in a whisper

“He is the best kiss I have ever had in my entire life!” I say whispering back

“I mean he does look like a whole snack” Aaron said

“Stooooop!” I say in embracement and I hide my face with the blanket I have

“What? I’m just stating the truth!” Aaron said with a laugh and I can’t help but to laugh with him

Being here stuck in this hospital room is driving me crazy. I cannot stand these white walls, they are sad. The TV never has anything interesting on, except Paw Patrol, I have found a great interest in does little pups. I thank God that Aaron is such a good person that he brought me my books; they have been keeping me occupied while I die in this room.

I hear a knock on the door, and I shift my eyes to the door as it opens slowly. After a few seconds, a hand with white roses peek at the door, I let out a giggle and I hear Aaron let out a frustrated sigh as he puts down his phone down and he puts on his annoying face.

“Knock, knock pretty lady” A voice from behind the door says as the person opens the door more to show his face.

“Oh my god!” I squeal in excitement at Jasper as he walks into the room with the flowers in hand

“Missed me?” He asks walking up to my bed and giving me a kiss in my forehead.

“I always miss you” I say as I wink at him

“Well you are going to see more of me since you are moving into the family house” Jasper says, and I hear Aaron make a vomiting sound. “Missed you too baby brother” Jasper said rolling his eyes at Aaron.

“Play nice boys” I say and they both pout at me and I giggle at both of their reactions. Jasper puts the flower on the table beside my bed and he fold his arms around his chest in his businessman stand as I like to call it. Just like Aaron they share the same platinum blonde hair, Jasper styles it with gel and not a single strand of hair is out of place, he has a more dark hazel eyes than Aaron, and his white skin complements all his looks completely.

“Aren’t you bored to be stuck in bed all day?” Jasper asked as he sits on my bed and the bed deepness with his weight.

“I’m dying of boredom in here” I say with a groan throwing my head back

“Then let’s go for a spin” Jasper says as he eyes the wheelchair. I give him a worried look, but it all goes away when he flashes me his pearly white smile. Jasper scoops me up from the bed in bridal still and then he places me gently on the wheelchair.

“Are we sure this is such a good idea? I mean she is supposed to be resting” Aaron says as he gets up from the chair.

“You are such a buzz kill my dear brother” Jasper says pushing onto the wheelchair and taking me out of the room. I hear Aaron groan under his breath as he follows behind us very closely to make sure his brother doesn’t kill me.

Aaron has always had beef with Jasper, since the day he found out that Jasper had a crush on me. Aaron was not happy that his older brother wanted to get with his best friend, over time Jasper’s crush faded away, but Jasper still treats me like a queen, which annoys Aaron to a whole new level. But I don’t mind, since he is like an older brother for me. I always tell Aaron to let go of that beef, and to my surprise he has done really good progress. There was a time where Aaron would not otter one single word to Jasper and he would ignore him like there was no tomorrow.

As we are cruising through the hospital he stops at the lobby and just walk around, well Jasper and Aaron are walking, I’m just sitting while Jasper pushes my chair. We come to as stop as Jasper got hungry and he went to a vending machine to get some chips. As we wait for Jasper to come back, I hear a very familiar voice. I look to my right and see Dr. Romano playing and laughing with some of the little kids from the hospital, he looks happy and carefree. I cannot help but blush at his cuteness and how the kids look so happy around him.

I notice that he lifts his gaze from one of the little kids and as if he felt my eyes on him, he moves his gaze and looks right directly into my eyes. He gets up from the floor and he straightens his coat, and he starts walking our direction. I panic and look the other direction and beg Jasper to hurry up. He smiles once he is up front to me.

“Good morning miss Dylan. It’s good to see you out of bed” He said, and I give him a small smile.

“Yeah, I was getting too bored up in my room” I say trying to not meet his gaze.

“I get that a lot from the patients” He says with a chuckle. “They say that the walls are very depressing”

“You can say that again” I say rolling my eyes

“Pretty lady I bought you, your favorite chips too” I hear Jasper call out for me and I turn my face to the left to see him walking into our direction. Once he got to us, he gives me my chips and I tell him a small thanks. Well this is awkward.

“Oh, I didn’t see you there” Jasper said. “Um, who are you?” Jasper asked and I face palm myself at the situation I am right now. I have a bad feeling about this.

“I’m Dr. Enzo Romano, I’m miss Dylan’s doctor. I was the one that performed surgery on her” Dr. Romano response and I notice his clench hands, but he hides them quickly on his coat.

“Thanks for saving my pretty lady” Jasper says as he places a hand on my shoulder.

“I was just doing my job” Dr. Romano says, and after a moment he clears his throat. “I better get going. I will see you in the night miss Dylan” Dr. Romano said and then he walks away from us and I feel my heart sink into my stomach.
