"S02, any update about the target?", the guy in black with a jet black hair asked through his ear piece, fingers tapping gracefully but heavily on the long wooden table in a rhythmic motion. "Yeeup. He's about the enter the building, 2 meters away from the entrance, J04." "Damn, talk about punctuality", the guy in black, J04  , groaned as he hears a chuckle on the other end of his ear piece. "C'mon, hyung. Be nice to him even just for a bit." "You know I can't do that knowing he wasted my precious time. I should be still sleeping and not waiting for this retard." He checks his watch and groaned again, he's late. "Why am I even assigned to evaluate? I've never had this kind of work since day 1." "Okay, chill. He's already on your floor. Don't forget to greet him with a smile", the one called SK04 snickered. "S02 out. Good luck, J04  ." "Tch, whatever", the guy in black dismissed. A few seconds later, he hears footsteps running by the hall. A guy with red hair suddenly barged inside the conference room  J04   is at. Where are his manners? Doesn't even know how to knock? "Lemme breathe", the red guy huffed heavily while his hands were on top of his knees as he panted for air. After a few seconds, he raised his head and smiled widely. Sweat all over his forehead, his eyes disappearing into thin slits, "Sorry, I'm late! Kwon Soonyoung reporting in!" The cheerful greeting turned in to confusion when he saw that no businessmen-looking people were inside the room but only a guy clad in black leather jacket and black cargo pants wearing a pair of black military boots sitting on a swivel chair with his feet on top of the table. He frowned and checked the room number outside of the door. It read 402. "Was it cancelled or the location was changed?", Soonyoung asked more to himself as he glanced down on his wrist watch. It was 8:03am, he was only late for 3 minutes and got no notification about the change of plans to the meeting he's supposed to attend to. He turned his attention to the guy wearing all black who stood up from his seat. He was smaller that him. But his fair white skin glowed because of the dark clothes the guy was wearing making Soonyoung wonder if this person in front of him is really a guy or a lady with a very short hair cut. "Surprised to see this isn't the meeting your were expecting?", the small guy asked as he made his way towards Soonyoung. "Kwon Soonyoung? It's a pleasure to finally meet you", the guy added, stretching his arm in front of Soonyung for a hand shake, Not wanting to be rude even though he thinks this guy is weird, Soonyoung took the hand and shook it, earning a smile from the stranger. "Umm.. nice meeting you too but.. who are you?" The moment Soonyoug asked that question, the shaking of hands stopped but the grip of the small guy on his hand tightened, the smile on his cute face turned into a devilish smirk. "I'm your worst nightmare", The guy in black declared before he twisted Soonyoung's arm on his back and pushed the taller's body against the table in a swift move, leaving Soonyoung surprised and pinned down. "If you still want to live your cheerful life to the fullest, I suggest you surrender. Blast off of this place and never return", the guy in black offered, twisting Soonyoung's arm further making him flinch. "Give up now while I'm still asking nicely, Mr. Kwon. Stop wasting my time." But instead of doing what the guy in black said, Soonyoung chuckled, "Giving up is not in my vocabulary, small bean." "What.. did you just said?", the arrogance on the guy in black's voice faded and was replaced with a low and dangerous tone. Soonyoung smirked and looked back, the guy was giving him a deadly glare but he's not having that. He didn't felt threatened at all. This guy sure is cute and not dangerous. "I said, small bean!", he yelled and used his right foot to cling on the guy's leg behind and tripped him. The enemy did not fell but that caused a a slight loose on his grip to Soonyoung's hand which Soonyoung took advantage of, pushing his body up using his free hand. Soonyoung backed away with force, sending the guy behind him crash on the glass wall, shattering it into pieces as they both lost balance and landed on the floor. Soonyoung immediately rolled off the guy, distancing himself a few feet away after successfully pulling his hand out from the smaller's grip. Soonyoung rolled his arm, stretching it as he watched the guy in black stood up lazily. "You sure want this the hard way, huh?", the guy asked as he popped his neck side to side. "Who are you?", Soonyoung asked back, getting himself ready in a fighting stance. The guy in black cracked his knuckles and threw Soonyoung a deadly glare. "You don't need to know." The guy surged towards him and attempted a jab on Soonyoung's side but Soonyoung was quick enough to shield himself with his arm, tripping the guy's right foot for a counter. The guy avoided it by sending his foot up to kick Soonyoung on his face. Soonyoung caught his leg, pulled the guy towards him and sent him flying to the other end of the hall but managed to do a 360° spin in the air and landed on his feet with grace. "Is that the best attack you can do? Tripping your opponent?", the guy raised his brow at Soonyoung. "Weak." "Shut up, shorty", Soonyoung retorted back which earned him a glare. The guy immediately tackled on Soonyoung, bringing him to the ground. He raised his fist in the air and was ready to throw a punch. "That's enough!", another man's voice boomed in the hallway. The guy in black looked up and got off of Soonyoung, not forgetting to kick Soonyoung's side earning him a hiss. "I said enough, J04", the man said in a stern voice making the smaller bow his head and retreat to his side. Soonyoung immediately raised up to his feet and bowed at the new guy who just came in. "Han Sung Soo-nim, Kwon Soonyoung reporting in", Soonyoung announced. "I see you guys finally met..", Han Sung Soo trailed and looked at the shattered glass wall of the conference room. "And already made a mess." "I'm so sorry, CEO-nim", Soonyoung apologized, bowing 90° at his direction. He glanced at the guy in black who only scoffed and rolled his eyes, hiding his hands on the black leather jacket he's wearing. He's got some attitude. The CEO waved a hand for dismissal and sat on the middle chair where the guy in black was sitting at a while ago. "Take a seat you two." Soonyoung did as what he was told and sat on the chair on the right side of the CEO. The guy in black sat across him, his small eyes glaring back at him. "Let me introduce you both before you cut each other's neck. Kwon Soonyoung, this is Lee Jihoon also known as J04. He's our top individual agent in our agency", the CEO said and gestured for the guy in black who only raised a brow at Soonyoung. "He's a short-tempered and serious one, I'm warning you", he added with a chuckle making Jihoon frown. "J04, this is Kwon Soonyoung from Bumzu's agency in Namyangju. He's the top individual agent--" "He's weak for a top agent though", Jihoon intervened with a snicker. "And also will be your partner starting from this day onwards." The CEO finished with a teasing smirk. Jihoon's small eyes widened in surprise as he stood up from his seat. "This guy with a cherry on top is my partner?!", he pointed at Soonyoung who was looking at him innocently. "Oh, hell no." "You have no right to disagree. We've been studying your talents and skill over the past years of training and missions. The board decided that you both are a perfect match and should be together as a team", The CEO shrugged and gave Soonyoung a small paper with writings on it. "You will be called S04 and that paper contains the information where you'll be staying in. J04 will lead you first where you'll work." Soonyoung nodded quietly and hid the paper inside his pants' pocket. Han Sung Soo stood up and arranged his coat. "Well, it's been a day. Meeting adjourned." "Are you for real? I don't need a partner. I can handle missions on my own, boss. You know that", Jihoon insisted as he stood next to Soonyoung, eyeing the said guy from head to toe in disgust. The CEO looked back at Jihoon and smiled. "I know, J04. But from now on, I forbid you to go on missions alone. Now give your rings to each other and wear it." Jihoon gritted his teeth but did as what he was told, Soonyoung doing the same. They exchanged rings and wore it on their right pinky fingers. Soonyoung flinched as it made a small static once it was settled. "Those rings have tracking devices connected to each other. You can't go anywhere now that you're tied with your partner. S04 will be entering your school tomorrow and have the same classes as yours. I'm expecting you will assist your partner, J04", Han Sung Soo announced and eyed Jihoon. "Yes boss", Jihoon grunted. "Now that we're all clear, you may now go. Take the bike with you", Han Sung Soo declared, pushing a button on the table which made the floors underneath both agents opened. Soonyoung grabbed Jihoon's arms and linked them on his, their backs on each other as their legs extend, their feet on contact with the walls to stop their free fall. "That was exciting", Soonyoung chuckled as they started stepping their feet against the wall going down. "Tch. This is nothing. He even threw others outside the window from the 30th floor. We're lucky enough he let us fall from 3rd floor." Jihoon tapped Soonyoung's arm to let go. They jumped down and met the concrete floor of the parking lot. Jihoon walked towards a particular direction with Soonyoung tailing behind him. Soonyoung's eyes widen in surprise to see where Jihoon went. "Cool bike you got there", he whistled and Jihoon smirked proudly. Jihoon threw him a small helmet, enough for the top of his head to fit in while Jihoon wore a cooler and bigger one. Soonyoung pouted. "Unfair! Why you got a cooler helmet and I don't have?", Soonyoung complained making Jihoon arch a brow at his direction. "You serious right now?" Soonyoung nodded and pouted even more. Jihoon scoffed in disbelief. "What kind of behavior do you have? Stop whining and pouting, you're an agent, not a kindergarten." Jihoon wore his helmet and hopped on his motor bike, starting it's engine. He looked back at Soonyoung who's struggling to wear his helmet. Retard. I can't believe I'll be doing missions with this guy. UGH!
