Chapter 4

Pov Ava

Woman: Your class is here, you can come in and don't worry, everything will be fine.

Ava: Yes thank you Ma'am

The woman opens the door and then she takes me inside and I see that the students have already started to work but at the same time I see Ayumi which makes me extremely happy

Woman: This is the new student

Teacher: Hi, would you come here so you can introduce yourself to the other students please.

Ava: Uh yes I'm coming

"I was really stressed about introducing myself in front of the whole class and I was quiet for a while.

Teacher: It's ok, you can introduce yourself now

I breathe slowly and finally decide to speak

Ava: My name is Ava and I'm 7 years old I hope we can all get along

Teacher: Well Ava you can go and sit next to Ayumi now

Ava: Yes thank you ma'am "I'm going to sit next to Ayumi and then I'll take my things out".

Ayumi: I'm really glad you're in my class and congratulations on your presentation

Ava: Thank you, that was really stressful, I thought I wasn't going to make it.

Teacher: Well, it's time to go back to class now

After the class ,during the break

Ava: Where are we going now?

Ayumi: Come on, I'll take you to the playground so we can play

Ava: Yes that's a great idea

Ayumi takes me to the playground, we're far away from the other students and we start playing until a group of girls come near us

???: So Ayumi you are friends with her

Ayumi: Yes, and what does that have to do with you Chloe

Chloe: She looks like a monster so she doesn't scare you

Ayumi: No she doesn't scare me she's my friend and that's not going to change

Chloe: Stay with her if you want ,imagine it's contagious

Chloe's friends start to laugh

Ayumi: Leave us alone now

Chloe: Well since you asked so nicely I'll leave

Chloe and her group of friends leave

Ava: It's because of that girl that you didn't want to go to school

Ayumi: Yes, she used to come to me and make fun of me but I don't really care

Ava: Anyway, thank you for defending me, it was really nice in class, we sit together

Ayumi: Yes of course let's keep playing

We play until the bell rings and then we go back to the classroom the day goes by pretty fast and the end of the day comes I say goodbye to Ayumi and then I go to my parents

Ava: Mum "I give Rose a hug and then I give Louise a hug"

Louise: So how was your day

Ava: My day was great now we're going home

Rose: Yes let's go

Ava: Can you carry me on your back Louise

Louise: Well, if you want to Yes, let's get on

I get on Louise's back and we ride all the way home and then we get there and I get off Louise's back and go and take a shower

Pov Louise

Rose: You see she's starting to get attached to you

Louise: Yeah I'm really glad she's with us, glad you brought her here

So far everything is going well for Ava and her new mum. Ava has finished primary school and is now in secondary school. Ayumi has always been her best friend. It's only a few days before Ava finishes middle school and she's a really bright student so she was recommended to the best high school but Chloe and her friends used to harass Ava by calling her a monster and in middle school it got even worse they started hitting her or making stupid jokes but Ayumi protect Ava.

Pov Ava

Louise: Time to get up Ava you have class and besides today is your last day you are not happy

I get up and get out of bed

Ava: Yes, you're right, today is finally the last day and I'm going to get to see Ayumi.

Louise: Well go and get ready, we're waiting downstairs for you to have breakfast

I'm going to take a shower and at the same time I'm thinking

Ava:( I'm glad it's the last day of school I'm really fed up with Chloe and her gang she's getting on my nerves but thankfully Ayumi's here even though she's started to be a bit distant with me it's ok in the meantime I asked mum if I could have alter as heavy as her handbag and since then I've been practising carrying them and I have to admit I've become a bit muscular)

I get out of the shower and put on my uniform and eat breakfast and then I go to the school, it's quite big and most of the students are either elves or humans or even dragons, there's a bit of everything except demons. I arrive a bit before the bell rings and I see Ayumi and I decide to go see her but she runs away from me.

Ava:( What's wrong with Ayumi, it's just that I find it really sad)

The bell rings and I go to my class. I usually sit next to Ayumi but she sits with Chloe now so I decide to go and sit at the back of the room by myself

Teacher: Well today is your last day here I just wanted to wish you good luck for the future

All students: Thank you

During the class I get a ball of paper that was thrown by Chloe and I decides to open it and I see it says you're a monster you better hide then I look at them and they start laughing it doesn't affect me but when I see Ayumi laughing it hurts me but at least the class is going pretty fast and it's finally time to go home finally when I get to the gate Chloe's group stops me

Chloe: Tell me where you're going , we're not done with you.

Ava: Leave me alone I didn't do anything to you

Alya: Maybe, but you're going to go to the same school as us so we have to stop you from going there, that's all.

Ava: What, just for that leave me alone and go away

Chloe: We didn't have time to introduce you to the new members of our group

Ayumi approaches

Ava: Ayumi why did you join them

Ayumi: As time went on I realised that I shouldn't be friends with you, you're just a monster

Ava:( Ayumi's sentence really hurt me I didn't think she would ever say that to me)

Chloe: Now that she's with us it's time for you to prove yourself

Ayumi: Yes I will do anything you ask me to

Chloe takes a pair of scissors out of her bag and gives it to Ayumi.

Ayumi: What should I do now?

Chloe: I want you to cut her hair Alex and Sebastian hold Ava so she can't move

Alex and Sebastian hold Ava so she can't run away then Ayumi comes over with the scissors she hesitates a bit at first but she ends up cutting my hair and she only cuts half of it for me who had long hair it really touched me that she did that

Chloe: You really did it so Ayumi you are officially our new member

Alya: Well it's time to go now

Chloe's group leaves and I'm on the floor wondering how I got there, then I get up and decide to go home once I get there

Rose: So your day, sweetheart

Ava: It didn't really go as planned

I go up to my room without giving any more details

Rose: Oh what's wrong with her

Louise: Wait, I'll go up to her room to see what's wrong

Louise goes up to my room and I look at the state of my hair after what happened

Louise: What happened, tell me Ava, why is your hair so short?

I sigh and then decide to answer Louise

Ava: There's a group of people at school that pick on me because I'm a demon and now Ayumi is part of that group and to prove that she's a member she took scissors and cut my hair

Louise: You didn't fight back

Ava: No, there were way too many of them and I can't take their stupid jokes anymore

Louise takes me in her arms and I have to admit that I needed it and I start to cry a lot

Louise: Don't worry from now on I'm going to do everything I can to make you feel better now that it's the holidays I'm going to take you with me and you're going to get some special training

Ava: Yes, I'm ready to go through your training, when do we start?

Louise: We'll start tomorrow but you have to pack your things because the training will take place somewhere else

Ava: Yes and please don't tell mum I don't want her to worry about me

Louise: Yes don't worry I won't tell her anything now get changed and then come and eat

Ava: Yes

Louise comes out of my room and goes back downstairs and I go and have a shower and then I go downstairs to have dinner

Louise: Rose, me and Ava are going to train for a month, I hope you don't mind it

Rose: I don't mind, I'm going to stay here with Cookies

Ava: Oh thanks Mum I'm feeling pretty tired today I think I'll go to bed see you tomorrow Mum

I'm going up to my room

Pov Louise

Rose: That practice is pretty rushed isn't it?

Louise: No I think it's the perfect time to train

Rose: You're hiding something, aren't you and Ava?

Louise: No, don't worry about it.

Rose: Is Ava being stalked?

Louise: No, don't worry, I'm telling you, and why are you saying that?

Rose: Well she's been coming home with injuries for a while now or last time her uniform was totally soaked when I went to wash it and now her hair is shorter so please tell me the truth Louise

Louise: Yes, she's being harassed, that's why I'm taking her with me to train so that no one can hurt her.

Rose: Yes, I understand, but be careful

Louise: Yes don't worry

Pov Ava

Ava:( I think it's time for me to change and become a new me from tomorrow onwards this will be my new beginning)
