Emerald's POV
The encounter with Ava had left a sour taste in my mouth. My mood had been ruined. I could feel the weight of negativity settling over me like a dark cloud. The hurtful words Ava had thrown at me replayed in my mind. It was hard to shake off the lingering anger and frustration.
I was so mad at her for spoiling my happy mood.
I was filled with joy this morning. She had to come along to spoil everything.
I got to my locker and opened it. I arranged the books I needed for the day.
Alex leaned on the locker beside me. His face was filled with concern.
"Hey" Alex said "Are you okay?"
I can't even deny the way I feel. I am not okay at all.
Ava said she always gets her way. What does she mean by that?
Does she mean she and Alex are inevitable?
