She’s been WHAT?

*Aaron POV*

“Thank you. Thank you for everything.” She said with so much happiness and joy in her tone. To be completely honest I am unsure if she was thanking me or if she was thanking the Moon Goddess for giving her a mate. It seems to be directed at both of us. I just smiled slightly and shook my head. I let her know I needed to head out of the room just for a few moments to handle a few things with my Beta, and Gamma. Once outside I looked at both of them. My Beta had a slightest bit of worry in his eyes however most of it was joy for me being able to find my mate. My Gamma on the other hand was clearly more nervous than my Beta. I could tell he was happy for me; however hearing that she was human was definitely going to be a challenge. I looked at both of them and was about to speak when I looked over and heard the Pack Doctor whispering something so slightly; I could barely hear it myself.

“She’s been abused.” That sent me into a frenzy. I could feel my Wolf Hunter trying to craw his way out. I quickly turned on my heel and headed straight to the Pack Doctor trying to stay as calm as I could, since I certainly wasn’t supposed to hear what he said while he was speaking out loud as he was writing down his notes. Doctor if you don’t mind can we speak alone. He recognized I was on the edge, and ushered me to his office.

“Alpha, what seems to be the problem?” he says threading the waters carefully.

“I heard what you said.” I say in a haste. His mouth just circled into an “O” and he started to speak again.

“Alpha, with all due respect I rather not talk about my patients without their consent. I’m sure you understand, however you may can get her to tell you the same thing she just told me just a few moments ago. She knows how the mating bond works. She grew up with it; she’s going to want to be honest with you since you are her mate.”

I nod in understanding for a moment as I am trying to calm Hunter down. “Where, where is she hurt?”

“You may check her arms.”

“Thank you.” I say as I turn and leave. He stops me just as I am about to open the door.

“Alpha, Please try to be easy with her she is a human after all.” I nod in acknowledge what he just said as I open the door and head back to her room. My Beta and Gamma was looking at me with confusion writing all over their faces as I walked by I let them know I will talk to them in a little bit go back to the celebration. They nodded and walked away. I knocked once and heard a hushed come in come from inside. I walked in and there laid my beautiful mate. I looked at her for a moment, and Hunter just purred seeing her here so beautiful. She has Strawberry Blonde Hair, a perfect face, button nose, and very natural pinked lips; Danielle is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life.

Danielle’s POV:

Alpha Aaron or Aaron as he likes me to call him knocked on my door what felt like just a few moments after leaving and came in. He stared at me with what it seems like forever until I decided this was all a little too awkward for me. I finally cleared my throat to get him to snap out of it and he came over to my side. He looked at me with admiration, and a slight bit of guilt filled his eyes. Why would he be feeling guilty, I mean he just basically accepted I was his mate. Did the other members talk him out of it already? I mean I know being with just a human is going to be hard, but I can’t be that hard to deal with can I? Before I could ask him anything he spoke up his voice alone sent chills down my spine.

“Danielle may I hold your hand?” I was surprised that he even asked I quickly pulled my arm out from under the covers and immediately regretted my decision. In a instant I saw rage flash through his eyes as they started to turn black. I quickly covered my arms back up. He was pissed, and I was screwed. He turned away from me, and a sadness took over me. He doesn’t think I can take care of myself, that I’m weak. After a few moments of him breathing heavy; Aaron turned back toward me.

“What happened?” His voice blunt, strict, and most of all pissed.

“I….Ummm… I really rather not talk about it.”

“Did someone do this to you?”

After a few moments of honestly not knowing what to say I nodded.

“But I do not think it was on purpose. You see since I am human I bruise quite easily I mean I can stump my toe and fall, and end up with a bruise.” Trying to calm him down as much as I can.

“Danielle this is not a simple clumsy moment. I seen where someone put their hands on you with so much pressure that your entire arm is bruised to their hand print.” A few moments went by in a awkward silence then he finally spoke again.

“Who?” I shook my head back and forth, because this is not how I wanted the first few moments with my mate to go. I sure as h*ll didn’t want to really meet him in a damn hospital bed.

“Who Did This To You?” he asked in a much stronger almost commanding tone.

“Was it your parents, your brother?”

“NO!” I quickly said while sitting straight up.

“Who?” He asked one more time before I broke.

“Look it is an extremely long story if you are wanting to know who I will tell you however I will not tell you who exactly without telling you everything.” I tell him feeling defeated.

He just nods his head sits back and starts listening to my enire story.
