The Contract
The contract sat on the mahogany desk, heavy and suffocating, smelling of expensive ink and deceit. Elena Vance stared at it, her knuckles white as she gripped the edge of the chair. She was twenty-four years old, a forensic accountant with a master's degree and a mountain of debt she didn't know how to climb. Her father’s gambling addiction had bled them dry, leaving her with one option: sell herself to the highest bidder. She looked up at the man sitting behind the desk. Damien Blackwood. He was a vision of dangerous perfection. He was thirty-one, dressed in a bespoke Italian suit that cost more than her first car, but the leather biker boots peeking out from under the hem told a different story. His hair was a dark, messy crown, and his eyes were a piercing, icy blue that seemed to see right through her soul. "You have five minutes, Elena," Damien said, his voice low and gravelly. He didn't look up from the tablet he was scrolling through. "I don't have time for games." Elena swallowed the lump in her throat. "I read the terms. It’s a one-year contract. I’ll be your personal assistant. I’ll live in the penthouse. In exchange, my father’s debt is cleared, and you get..." "You," he finished, finally looking at her. His gaze dropped to her neck, tracing the visible pulse beating wildly beneath her skin. A dark, hungry smile touched his lips. "You get to be mine. In every way I want." Heat rushed to Elena's face. She knew who he was. Damien Blackwood wasn't just a billionaire CEO. He was the President of the Obsidian Riders MC. A legend in the underground world. A man who ruled with an iron fist and a silver tongue. "I accept," she whispered. Damien stood up, his chair scraping loudly against the floor. He walked around the desk and stopped right in front of her. He was towering over her, his presence overwhelming. He reached out and cupped her chin, his thumb rubbing over her bottom lip. "You’re trembling," he murmured. "Good. Fear makes you taste sweeter." He leaned in, his breath hot against her ear. "Welcome to my world, Elena. You have no idea what you just signed yourself up for." Elena stood in the center of the penthouse, her heart hammering against her ribs like a trapped bird. The room was massive, a glass-walled sanctuary overlooking the glittering city lights of Chicago. But it was cold. Too cold. She heard the door open behind her. She turned to see a man enter. He was younger than Damien, with messy black hair and a smirk that promised trouble. He was wearing a leather vest with the Obsidian Riders patch on the back, and he was holding a beer in one hand. "Boss sent me to get you," the man said. "He says he needs to show you the garage." "The garage?" Elena asked, confused. "I thought I was starting as his assistant tomorrow." "Tomorrow," the man said, stepping closer. His name was Jax, the VP. He smelled like leather, expensive whiskey, and danger. "But tonight, you're his guest." He took a step closer, invading her personal space. He reached out and brushed a stray strand of hair from her face, his fingers rough and calloused. "You smell like vanilla and fear," Jax murmured, his eyes darkening. "I like it." Elena stepped back, her back hitting the glass wall. She was trapped. Between the CEO and the biker. Jax laughed low in his throat. "Don't worry, little bird. Damien won't let me touch you. Not yet." He turned and walked out, leaving her alone in the freezing cold of the penthouse. Damien led Elena down to the garage. It was cavernous, filled with rows of high-end sports cars and motorcycles. In the center of the room, a black motorcycle sat, gleaming like a predator in the dark. "This is my baby," Damien said, walking over to the bike. He ran a hand over the leather seat, his touch possessive. "She’s fast. She’s dangerous. And she’s just like me." Elena watched him, mesmerized by his intensity. She had never seen a man so alive, so powerful. "Get on," Damien ordered. Elena hesitated. "What?" "Get on," he repeated, his voice hard. "I’m not taking you to your room. I’m taking you to the club." "The Obsidian Riders MC club?" "Mine," Damien corrected. He kicked the stand down. "And you’re coming with me. Tonight." Elena climbed onto the back of the bike, wrapping her arms around his waist. She felt the muscles rippling beneath his shirt, hard and defined. She buried her face in his back, inhaling his scent—sandalwood, old leather, and something primal that made her knees weak. Damien started the engine. It roared to life, a sound that vibrated through her entire body. He kicked the stand up and pulled out of the garage, speeding out of the underground parking garage and onto the streets of Chicago. The wind whipped through Elena’s hair, stinging her face. She held on tight, terrified and exhilarated at the same time. She had no idea where he was taking her, but she knew one thing: her life would never be the same. They arrived at the Obsidian Riders MC clubhouse an hour later. It was a massive, brutalist building on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by a chain-link fence. The sound of rock music pounded through the walls, shaking the ground. Damien killed the engine. The silence that followed was deafening. "Stay close," he said, dismounting the bike. He reached back and pulled Elena off the back, his grip bruisingly tight. "I don't want to lose you in this crowd." He led her through the heavy steel door and into the main hall. It was a sea of leather, denim, and tattoos. Men were sitting on bar stools, drinking beer, and laughing. They all turned to look at Elena as she walked in, their eyes assessing her, hungry. Elena felt like a fish out of water. She was a banker's daughter, a girl who wore cardigans and drank tea. She stood there, clutching Damien’s hand, feeling completely out of place. "Boss!" Jax called out from the bar. He was sitting on a stool, his legs spread wide, a beer in his hand. "You brought her." Damien nodded, his eyes never leaving Elena's face. "This is Elena." The room went silent. The men looked at her, some with interest, some with disdain. They could smell her fear. They could smell her innocence. Elena felt a bead of sweat trickling down her spine. She looked at Damien, pleading for help, but his expression was cold. He wasn't going to save her. He was going to break her. "Come with me," Damien said, pulling her away from the bar. He led her up a flight of stairs to a private room at the back of the club. The door was heavy and locked from the inside. He pushed her against the wall, his hands on her waist, pulling her flush against him. His body was hard, his muscles straining against his shirt. "I want you to know something, Elena," he whispered, his breath hot against her lips. "You are mine. You belong to me. And I’m going to mark you. I’m going to make you mine in every way possible." He leaned in and kissed her. It wasn't a gentle kiss. It was a desperate, hungry kiss. He bit her lower lip, drawing blood. She tasted copper on her tongue, and she moaned softly. Elena was drowning. She was completely under his control. She had no idea what was going to happen next, but she knew one thing: she was going to be his. The room was dimly lit, the only light coming from a single lamp on the nightstand. Damien pulled away from the kiss, his eyes dark and intense. He looked at her, his gaze heavy with desire. "You're mine," he growled, his hand sliding down her neck, squeezing her throat gently. "You're going to be a good little pet for me. You're going to do everything I tell you to do. You're going to be my personal assistant, my girlfriend, my everything." He pushed her onto the bed, his body covering hers. He was heavy and warm, his weight pressing her into the mattress. He undid the buttons of his shirt, revealing his chest, covered in a network of tattoos. Elena stared at him, her breath hitching in her her throat. She had never seen a man like this before. He was beautiful and terrifying. "Touch me," he commanded. "Show me how much you want me." Elena reached out and touched his chest. His skin was hot, his muscles rippling under her fingers. She ran her hand down his stomach, feeling the heat of his body. "You're beautiful," she whispered. Damien groaned, his head falling back. "Don't call me beautiful. I'm a monster." He leaned down and kissed her again, this time harder, deeper. He pushed his tongue into her mouth, exploring every inch of her. He moved his hand down her skirt, his fingers finding the hem of her shirt. He lifted her shirt, exposing her bra. He cupped her breast, his thumb rubbing over her n****e, making it harden. He pinched it, causing her to gasp. Elena arched her back. She was overwhelmed with pleasure and pain. She was being consumed by this man.
