“Alpha… you need to see this.”
Tyler’s voice dragged me back from the edge of ripping Sophia’s head off.
I didn’t look at her again. I couldn’t stand her.
The sound of her voice alone scraped against my nerves, and yet I still had to yield to her demands when she came to me this morning. I had to stand there and swallow it while she went on and on with her endless pleas, circling the same demand until it stopped sounding like a request and started feeling like a noose tightening around my neck.
