His Royal Mate

I go downstairs to see my mom with my little sister. I smile at them and mom puts the plate she was making down. She walks over to me and hugs me tightly with a huge smile.  “Happy birthday my beautiful baby girl.” She says. I hug her back and snicker. ”Thank you, mama.” I reply back.  She let's go and goes back to making plates. I sit in my usual spot at the table and look at my sister who is sitting across from me. ”Good morning love, I hope you slept well.” I say to Danielle.  ”I did, and happy birthday Luci.” She says with a cute smile.  ”Alex.!” my mom yells. Then all of a sudden I hear footsteps coming downstairs. I look up and see my twin brother Alex entering the kitchen. Mom puts the plates on the table and walks over to him. She pulls him into a hug and kisses him on the cheek.  ”Happy Birthday my dear. I can't wait for you guys to meet your soulmates.” she says with her eyes filled with adoration. He hugs her back and says thanks then sits down at the table. He looks at me and we both smile.   ”Happy birthday.!” we both say at the same time with huge goofy smiles. We all dig in and I'm a little upset dad wasn't here but it's okay he's probably working already. I step out of the car and look over and Alex does the same. He locks his car and steps over to me.   ”No trouble, and remember to tell me if you find your mate. I need to meet him just in case he's a total douche.” he says nudging my shoulder with his.   I see my best friend Hannah walking over to us and immediately Alex perks up and starts sniffing. He looks at Hannah and growls.  ”MINE.,” he says walking over to her and takes in her smell. I step away and head inside so they can get privacy. Especially since I always knew something was going on between them. I guess it was always pretty obvious he could never take his eyes off of her and she was always blushing around him. I go to my first class not caring to go to my locker. I open the door and pick the seat by the window. I sit down and take out my sketchbook. I start drawing what my wolf looks like and sigh.  Mom always told me I was special but I don't know why. I know I haven't seen any other wolf with white fur sparkling blue eyes and a crown under their eye. Papa said I wasn't special I was rare, and that's why no one can know what my wolf looks like. He told me a lot of people would try to hurt me or something if they found out. I don't mind hiding my wolf because I understand, but my temper is a different story. I can't control my temper, which is really bad being a wolf. Especially if I lose my temper around a mundane. I'm brought out of my thoughts when the teacher comes in and everyone is now seated. A half-hour into class and I suddenly feel excited. A delicious smell hits my nose and I freeze. Oh no, my mate is close by. What if he's not right for me, I try to keep calm but my wolf is begging to come out and find my mate.   Natalia: ”Please, let's go find him.”   Luciana: ”No are you crazy, I can't just leave class.! Mama will flip.” She groans and shuts me out.  I sigh and grip the sides of the desks. Great now my wolf is mad, I don't understand what's her issue. She knows mama is the principal and she finds out everything. Suddenly the door slams open and I look up.  I gasp once I realize who he's is. Harden Miller, he's the Alpha of my pack. Nope this isn't happening I look behind him to see if there's anyone else but nope it's just him. Which means that delicious smell was coming from him. He looks at me and stiffens.  Natalia: ”Our mate is handsome.” she says purring. Luciana: ”Yea he's also a player.” I growl I shut her out and look at the door to see he's gone. I feel someone sit next to me and I look over to see him right next to me.   ”Harden, what's the point of showing up when there are 10 minutes left of class.” The teacher says glaring.  ”I was busy.” He says rolling his eyes. He looks at me and glares.   ”Is there a problem.” I say growling lowly. ” You're the problem.” He says as he turns away. I growl and stand up. I'm not staying here, no way am I losing control right here. I start walking to the front, I throw my paper on the teacher's desk and head for the door. I didn't even do work but who cares.  ”Ms. Rivers, where do you think you're going.?” the teacher asks. I shrug and open the door waving at him . ”Anywhere but this dreadful class.” I say as I put my sunglasses on and leave the building. I call my friend Miles and wait outside for him.
