Time to find The Luna

Adam POV

I had fallen asleep on my couch after talking with my Beta Joe and it was too late to find my Luna so now I would have to wait till tomorrow to find her. I went to bed at 9 p.m. after I was done doing all the paper work in my office. I slept good and when I woke up the next morning I was able to watch the sun rise in the sky turned a pretty pinkish orange color. I laid in my big empty bed dreading what the day held ahead for me. I still had 3 more properties around the area to search and a meeting to still hold this afternoon. After about an hour I decided to get up and around to make sure all that needed done could get done.

I decided to move the meeting to Tomorrow morning just in case, because finding this girl Athena who was my Luna was important. Shane was able to use his senses, and was able to tell me that she was not just any regular human. He was able to tell she was half wolf at least, but I couldn't figure out why she was so different. She had the voice of an angel and her voice soothed me and Shane, but we wondered how she would feel to touch. Her soft skin, rosy pink cheeks as she blushed when she thought someone had heard her singing as she enjoyed nature.... As he started to day dream about what life might be like with her, my door slammed open.

It was his Beta, Joe looking concerned. "Hey Adam I was just checking Schedule today and I saw we had a meeting. Are we still on for the meeting.." asked my Beta Joe. No Joe, we are not... I am still searching for my mate. I moved the meeting to tomorrow morning around 11 am. Figured that would be enough time. Beta Joe just stood there for a minute before he bowed his head and left giving his apologizes for coming into my office so abruptly.

Before he left I wanted to let him know, so I said one more thing Joe, please knock next time before bargaining in again. Next time I will not be so kind if you do so again. He shut the door and all I could hear in the room was the deafening sound of quiet and a small click. After about an hour I left and started my search on foot again this time. I got to one of the other properties listened on the map and it was abandoned so once again I marked it with an X on the map and made a note to see about buying the property later especially since it was so close to my property. It was close to noon already and I had searched 2 of the 3 places that were left and had no luck still.

The day had gone so fast and I felt overwhelmingly confused and conflicted. As I walked around more I found another property that was not listed on the map and marked it down for looking into buying. I took a deep breath taking in all the smells in. I had hoped it would help me find her. I got to another property but the pathway was blocked their was no way anyone could live here. However that was not the case.

There was a sweet elder lady who lived her for decades and since her husbands passing she couldn't take care of the property any more and was downsizing everything to move into a nursing home. She had no one to leave her thing to and I couldn't help but feel for her. I talked with her for about three hours telling her I was looking for a girl names Athena. She apparently knew who I was talking about. I offered her help and told her I would send over some of my workers from my property to help her and this way she didn't have to leave her home. I even sent one of the girls over who could stay with her to help her with shopping cooking and all of that.

Her name was Mrs. Mable Mattenie. I could see the thrill in her eyes when I told her she could have all the help she needed. I wrote down my number for her to keep and call me if she ever needed any help. She began writing some information down and I saw that she was scribbling down that she needed help with getting a lawyer to change her will. Luckily one of the people I had was a lawyer and would be able to help her. I told her we would clean up her property first over the next month and I would scheduled an appointment when the path was clear again.

I watched as she smiled and thanks to her the day seemed to not drag on as badly. I left after I shook her hand and kissed her hand as I bowed. I was forever in her debt because she was going to be the whole reason why I found my mate. I waved good bye and I walked until I finally reached the farm and I could see Shane's eyes light up at the fact that he knew she was here. We could smell the scent of vanilla and roses. A smile slowly crawled across my face and I made my way to the front door.

My hands shook after all this time I was getting to find her and I finally decided to knocked 3 times, but no answer. I was a little upset and decided it was time to just turn around when I heard the tractor pulling up. I waited on the porch for the tractor to stop as the man jumped down from the tractor. He just stared at me as he walked up to the porch. I bowed my head knowing he was an older Alpha, and my father taught me that all older alphas have more power, because they have lived longer.

"Can I help you?" He asked ever so gruffly. I extended my hand and he shook my hand. I'm sorry sir, my name is Alpha Adam and I came looking for someone. Her name is Athena and I hope I have the right place I've been looking for her since I saw her in the woods. She is my mate, and I really would like to meet her officially and not in my wolf form. Well my name is Alpha Ron I live here with my daughter.

Alpha Ron's words came out surprisingly very stern, " My daughters name is Athena and she told me she saw a wolf with human looking eyes, but not once met a person."

Um sir if I may, I came looking for Athena. I would like to talk with her if that is ok. I Adam asked as calmly as I could. She has stolen my heart in away. "You mean she is your chosen mate then?" Asked Alpha Ron. Shock was written all over his face as Ron continued to tell him.

"I know you're the wolf she was talking about. My Daughter is part wolf. Although her wolf has not awakened 100% yet. I am not sure why, I don't know if it has something to do with me or her mother. Her mother is Half wolf, although she is no longer with us. Some hunters came after her while she was in wolf form.

They used silver bullets as if they knew who and what she was. She barely made it to the hospital when she had Athena that night, and her last words were to protect her with all my might until she found her mate. I never knew what it meant until now. My wife was a princess and my daughter does not know that. All she knows is her mother was my mate and she is part wolf. Athena has powers that we are not aware of yet." alpha Ron spoke softly.

He walked into the door and yelled for Athena, and I bowed my head knowing that I was about to meet my Luna, my mate. I gave him my condolences while I waited for her to come down. I am so sorry sir for both of your losses. I hope you know I didn't come to harm anyone. I just wanted to find my mate. She is a gorgeous woman and I would love and be honored to have her as my mate.

Ron bowed his head at Alpha Adam as they began talking more and more to get to know each other better. We did not know that Athena was out of the house until she was walking up to the house with buckets full of eggs and a shovel in one hand. I rushed over and grabbed the buckets from her gently. As I took the buckets from her I could see she felt a spark ignited as our hands brushed up against each other. She smiled and walked with him side by side smiling the whole time. She never asked a question the whole time, it was as if she already knew who he was to her.

Athena POV

I couldn't help but question why I felt such a connection with this man I know I'm part wolf but he feels like he's my other half I've been missing. I feel like he is my mate..... How do I know though? How do I find out?

Hhhhmmmm...

Hey daddy, can Mr. Adam stay for dinner so I can get to know him better. Adam watches as the question grew in her eyes that they began to swirl a green and gray mixture. "Only if Alpha Adam doesn't mind, he has a pack to get back to as well. Alphas are not supposed to be away for too long." responded Alpha Ron. The night flew by as quickly as the day had started. I was so happy to see that Alpha Adam stayed for dinner with us, but unfortunately he had to leave shortly after.

I couldn't help but go over the conversation at dinner of all three of us talking about me becoming his mate and I could feel everything just as much as Adam could. I could feel his excitement, sadness, and more. The sincerity in his voice and eyes made me feel and see so much more. When he left he asked me to give some thought to us being together and he would give me time to think it over. I already knew I wanted to be with him, but I was worried about leaving my father, but I w really wanted to go. The question was going to be would my dad be ok if I did.

We have not been a part of a pack in a long time, and it made me wounder what would happen to the farm? How would my dad take care of himself if I am not here. It's just been my dad and I for so long I truly worry how we would be. I decided I needed to talk with him and ask if we would be ok. With a deep sigh... I went down stares to go talk with him. I have to know my time has come to be with my mate. Dad has known I won't change or have my true potential without my mate.

I just hope he will be ok. I saw my dad sitting in the chair in the living room, ahahhmmm.... Daddy can I talk to you? With a smile on his face my dad patted the couch right next to him. I didn't know how to ask, and all I could do was look at him. As if he already knew he spoke. "Honey I have waited for a long time for the day you would find your mate. You are 18 and you've found your mate.

I just want your happiness. He told you to think about it and you can come and visit me anytime. I was thinking about selling the farm and going back to pack life eventually anyways. I will always miss your mother, and she gave me the best gift before she passed on. I love you so much more than you could ever know." he replied. My dad kissed the top of my head and with joyfulness filling up the air I hugged dad and ran upstairs.

I had so much to do and so little time. I had no idea what I was going to do. This all felt sudden, but I know he is the one. I have only been on 5 dates and I have never felt the way I do when I am with him. I really wish I didn't have to leave my father on his own and I know I can him anytime. He is my dad, and i was always going to worry about him. Now I had to make my lists for leaving and to do lists.
