"Answer me, Meghna!", Anjali had also started sobbing, which Meghna could apprehend hearing her voice.
Should she tell her? About what happened between them? Why was Amey standing at the standpoint of getting divorced from her?
Meghna had no track to proceed with the conversation which was going to usher everything from her own mouth. It isn't that she can't share the actual reason that Amey had stated, to Anjali. Her tumult at the moment was If she should really open up this to Anjali. Because when Meghna had told Amey not to let anyone else know about the thing, he did maintain his dignity by doing so. And now,she being the same has to do it back to him. What If he hadn't wanted to tell Anjali, and she had told about it to her.
She didn't want this to happen. The unredeemed introspection was rousted by Anjali's mourn.
At the same time, she heard a knock at the door. That wasn't a knock. In lieu, it was a wham on the door. The slam of the door, made Meghna balk a little. The flogs were blaring; and the door was jarring, against the frame.
Apprehending that it wasn't a right time to let Anjali know, about their entity, she gulped on phone.
"Anj.. Anjali! I will call you back in sometime.", she gulped and cut the call abruptly. Soon, she rushed to the door to open it before it could c***k open. Her hands trembled to reach the door knob, to twist it open. After gulping off the tears and the trace of fear that had invaded her heart, due to the bang; she opened the door; and the opened arena; revealed Julie standing there with swollen face and a total mess on her face.
Her face, totally wasn't orderly. She seemed like she had fussed to death already. Her cutesy face was now holding a trace of dread, distress and unease; which wasn't a nice gesture.
"Julie?", Meghna blared, as she jammed her phone to her track pants' pocket. She cambered forward to hold Julie's shoulder, to make sure she doesn't black out.
"Meghna.. Krish.. On phone...", Julie sobbed pointing out the phone in her hands. Why was she shook and grossed out, due to Krish's phone call?
On sending off silent prayers , that there shouldn't be anything that could make her frighten; her hands flew forward to get hold of Julie's phone. When she put the phone to her ears, she apprehended that Krish was on the other side.
"Krish! Are you okay? Why is Julie wailing?", Meghna asked, stepping out of the room, with a real serious expression clouding her brain, heart and face.
"Doe..", he called her from the other side. His voice was croaky. She could feel the pang that was well felt to Meghna. It wasn't any ordinary way of he, calling her.
"Krish! What is it? Why do you sound so dull?",Meghna yelled now, being at the rim of the patience. Generally, she hadn't got that much of patience and perseverance. She had learned it to guard her patience from Amey, in those eight months. He was the one teach her that patience is a virtue.
"Doe.. Nothing doe! It is just an accident, and she has begun to weep, already!", Krish conveyed, indecisively.
"What! accident?" Meghna yelled, narrowing her perfect bow like brows.
"Yeah.. Doe.. Cool! Nothing to worry. I Am-"
"I want to see you right now!", Meghna yelled again. Tears were already flowing down like a vicious outpour. Julie, stood there still pouring down sobs, eying Meghna mouthing on phone.
"Doe, Nothing serio-"
"Not another word, Krish!", her pitch was high enough to make Krish, go shut.
"Not another word.", She gasped,as she heard no signs of Krish on the other side.
"I want to see you. Period!", Meghna gasped, still letting the tears wash down her face. She couldn't bear hearing that. Krish, her best friend was now mowed down and slayed. How can she remain shut even after hearing that scratchy voice, on phone.
"Doe! Please. Don't cry.", Krish managed to mumble. He was now hurt. Why would he have to call Julie, just because he felt like talking to her and now, he had to tell out everything to her and Meghna! He still remembered how Meghna was worried when Krish had his wound when he got his bike skidded down, a few years ago.
"Krish! I am calling you on Skype.", She voiced, wiping off the tears that were trailing down, kissing her cheeks. Little did she wait, before Krish could answer anything. She brought back the phone from her hands. On handing over the phone to Julie, she took her phone and opened the blue and white app, to call Krish; in soony soon.
When Julie and Meghna apprehended that the call was being picked up, All they saw was Krish, leaning back on bed; with a broad white cloth bandaging his temples, the other hand which had no need of holding the phone was having a shawl around it, which also appeared like a bandage. All those clearly showed that he was in hospital.
Fuck!
"Krish! What is this? Why are you in the hospital? You said me that nothing is serious and you're lying at the hospital bed. Krish! How did this happen? Tell me ,NOW!", Meghna let it all out in a go, struggling back the tears. Julie, was doing the same; sitting behind her.
"Doe. An accident!", Krish mouthed, beaten.
"How did it happen?", Meghna managed not to yell again. Yet, the tears hadn't stopped. That pungent liquid that was diving off her eye lids, didn't seem to make her throat clear and clean to let the words out.
"Doe, it is..", When Krish started, he was distracted by someone entering the room. Meghna saw, krish's eyes going wide by seeing someone entering the room.
"Doe! Amey is here!",When krish yelled those words, Meghna abruptly felt an increase in the pace of those trailing tears. Her knees went weak, all of a sudden. Just like that, hearing his name could make her go weak.
"Amey!", She gasped to herself, being unable to take in the fact that she will not be able to see his majestic face. Krish's face getting diverged in shock.
"Doe! Amey and Sanjay uncle are here.", He mouthed, still with his mouth slightly open in shock. He was perplexed. And now Meghna was bewildered like she had never been before, to hear him say that her dad and Amey are at the same place. Weeps had now evolved like someone had broken a dam in her and she was letting everything flow down. The sniveling had got her so hard that, her face was already teeming like she had wept for hours, bursting red.
"Doe! Don't cry. Please. I will be okay, in a day or two. Just don't weep like a kid.", Krish was mouthing on phone, while Sanjay had already see his daughter bawling to rivers, on the phone.
Before, Sanjay could open his mouth to console his Kannamma, Meghna's head which was dropped down due to the tears; was craned up now hearing that searing voice.
"Baby! Don't cry. We're here to take care of him.", It was Amey! It is the same Amey, who did yell at her weeks ago on the phone; asking her to send the address to ship the documents for their divorce.
But yeah, she knew! He had her father there, right beside him. Right now, his wrath for her should be wrapped up, because Sanjay was there and He cannot shout and stand shut, seeing his wife wail madly on the phone.
Meghna's heart was beating wild in her chest, hearing Amey's soothing voice. She was really unable to hold back the tears, after hearing him.
She looked at him longingly, with the water drops, shoving down her cheeks. All she could stare at was an unhappy, disturbed Amey with over grown stubble, and a heck of a sleep bag under his eyes; which didn't fail to make Meghna realize that it was all an aftermath of her drift.
Someone had to teach her on how to stop those stupid water drops from falling down, seeing the man she loves, on the screen. She couldn't do that, anyway!
"Meghna.. Baby.. Don't cry!", Amey's voice was totally filled with love and concern. It was the same mouth which recited that he wouldn't flux down hearing her cry. She could see the care and ardor, that were accompanying his turquoise eyes. It all did matter, to her. He did love her, still and his gaze that was worried for her weeps and sobs, didn't fail to put this into her skull.
Before Meghna could regain herself from the invasion of his gaze and voice, she regulated herself to utter,"Amey!"
She muttered, and he melted. Totally!
When Meghna was about to talk the next word, it was Sanjay's voice that she heard.
"Kannamma. Don't cry. We'll take care of him. Don't cry.", Her father's concerned voice, fell in making her feel okay. It really did.
"Appa! How did it happen? What did he do?" She screamed hastily, sponging off the tears with her hands.
"He got hit by a car, Kannamma.", He voiced, with worry overloaded in his voice.
"Were you drunk while you drove the bike?", Meghna's voice turned stern and dumped on, seeing Krish.
Krish gulped.
Meghna was now flushed with anger. With a convulsed rage, she mouthed,"How many times, had I told you not to do that! Why don't your sluggish brain realize that you might die one day, doing that. You irresponsible arse! When will you stop doing this?", She wailed eyeing Krish. She had broken down already. She couldn't manage anymore. Soon, she threw the phone to Julie and rushed to her room; to stop the wail and comfort herself.
After running into the room, and wavering over the bed was to weep her life out. She cried for Krish, his accident, her life, Amey, his love, their life, for almost everything. The wail that she did that day, was something that she'd never thought that she would. She hadn't cried for anything in life, except for Amey.
She couldn't help but drip tears being forced to flail against the fact that it was the same Amey, who faked a concern in front of her father; though the concern wasn't a fake one; he had to show that to her just because he had her father there.
"I want you in my cabin, ASAP! Mrs. Meghna!", Amey's raspy voice hit her ears, as she was working on something very sincerely. Hearing the smoking hot voice, she craned her head up to see the voice that held the authority and power.
It was her handsome husband, standing there in his silver suit, in his own swag carrying a smug look, on his face.
Meghna rolled her eyes seeing Amey leave the smug look. She could now feel a few pairs of eyes, eying them like what was going to happen next.
Darn it! She hated it.
Being in Amey's office for three months from now, this had happened already once. It was so embarrassing to having all the eyes around then checking them out. Meghna had no separate cabin, in Amey's office. It was only a disjointed cubicle. When Amey was ready to offer her with one, she denied it readily stating that she was also a typical employee there and she wouldn't want to make use of any allowances there at office as his wife.
That was the only reason for Amey to call her with Mrs. in front of everyone. He wanted there in his cabin, as soon as possible.
"In a minute, Sir!",She gritted her teeth and followed him to his cabin.
When she reached the cabin and pushed the door ajar, Amey was in his seat looking at her steadily as he was anticipating her to come in and jump up and down being provoked.
"Amey! Why did you do that, there?", She fumed twisting her lips, very funnily. Amey had to straighten his face, and with narrowed eyes brows he uttered," Mind your tongue,Mrs! I am your boss."
And this made Meghna go red in anger.
"Amey! Don't taunt me.", she stomped her leg, to the floor; closing her eyes seeing him, gibe her. Amey couldn't stultify his giggle, anymore. He guffawed, seeing her hopping mad.
"Amey! Why did you do that?", She asked again, twisting her lips, pouting.
"Hey! What did I do?", Amey asked her, getting down from the chair; as If he did nothing. It was him who looked at her smugly, out there; in front of everyone. Because of which everyone would've probably thought they were going to carry on with their intimacy inside the office, when they actually had nothing between them. They were married for three months. They went out for dates. But there wasn't nothing big to talk about their intimacy, at the moment.
"Why did you look at me like that?", those words fell out from her mouth, that's been kept compressing the lower lip, with her eyes closed. Amey, was still incompetent to put up with his giggles which was making her face go chaotic more.
"Like what?", Amey chortled, looking at her again; in the same way. His gaze on her was stuck, and he was still looking at her in a roughish manner, making her go insane more.
"Like that!", She gritted her teeth, being freaked out, emphasizing the that.
Amey rolled his eyes, like he understood nothing and asked her again,"Like what?"
"Don't bluff! You know what I mean.", Meghna gritted her teeth again. Her temples were creased due to this nameless yell, that she was throwing up on Amey.
"I seriously don't! Care to explain?", Amey smirked. And with that smirk, she surely knew that he was just playing along.
"Like that.. Like we are going to do something in here.", she mumbled, dropping her head down. His lips were cramped together giving his best shot in stumbling the giggle.
"Oh! Come on. Why would we do something here?"
"The whole crew know that we're married. And you call me like this in front of everyone, eventually people will think that, Amey!", she screeched. Thanks to those sound proof walls, and the giant wooden door, which wouldn't make the people know what's happening inside. Okay, that was the another reason for those people to mistake him for calling her in.
"It is okay, Meghna. Let them think. We're married, right! What if they think that? I don't care, seriously!", Amey said going back to his seat, casually.
"Alright! Why did you call me?", she pouted.
"I called you because we've this important deed of finalizing the photographs, for next month's circulation!", He mouthed going back to the business modus.
"Oh! Yeah. I forgot that totally.", she muttered and took her seat opposite to Amey's. Later, after two hours when they'd finished discussing their thing; Meghna yelped seeing her phone.
"Amey! Oh my god. It's five. I've an important work to do. I've to leave.", she delivered agilely, as she stood from the chair to barge out. She didn't wait for Amey's permission.
"Where... Where are you going, Meghna?", Amey grilled, as he saw her doing things recklessly.
"Amey! I've to go! Bye. Come home soon.", she announced as she neared the door, collecting her things, daringly.
Amey was confusedly seeing her act heedlessly. He didn't question her, instead assured himself of drilling out the information later that night, when he gets back to home.
"Alright! Careful Meghna. No rash driving!", he shouted from the seat, whilst she had gone out already. She rushed to her cubicle to get her backpack stuffed with her things. As soon as she did that she grabbed her keys, and stumped down in haste.
Once she keyed her bike, and kickstarted it; she cruised back home. After her much needed shower, she changed into something comfortable. Comfortable enough for her to face the clash that she was going to face with batters and cocoa essence! Yes, she was going make a cake that evening. Because it was Amey's birthday, the next morning.
She couldn't help but get excited for the cake that she was going to bake for Amey. She wasn't into cooking. She didn't even know how to whip off quick dishes, but she'd been attending this cookery classes since a month just to cook for Amey on his birthday.
Everyday after her work at the office, she would just inform Amey that she was leaving. Poor Amey, little did he know about his wife and the cookery classes that she was going for.
Soon, after baking the cake, with all her might; she shaped the cake's base; she started preparing the syrup to coat the chocolate cake that had baked for her husband. It wasn't a cream cake, because she knew that Amey hated whipped cream. So, she decided to go for an ordinary chocolate cake, with two tiered chocolate layers, making the cake look delicious.
After three more hours, the outcome of her cookery class idea was lying in front of her carrying a label with ,"Happy Birthday, My Amey!"
Only after scribbling the happy birthday note on the cake, she felt it overwrought to see that 'my' in front of his name. Feeling coy, being done with that, she wanted to rub it off. But she knew that rubbing that off, would ruin the cake; for which she did struggle a lot. Not making it a serious issue, she decided to leave it out.
Wishing that Amey doesn't open the refrigerator that night when returns home, she pushed the cake inside the refrigerator to cool it down.
That night when Amey, arrived; Meghna did ask for pizzas. She didn't want him to cook, which will eventually lead him to stir the fridge to search for stuff. They ordered for pizzas, and after feasting upon them, Meghna said that she was going to sleep. She lied him that she was going to sleep. Because, Amey didn't know that Meghna was aware of his birthday. She had never asked him about his birthday. It was all Anjali who told her about his birthday, before a month. Thank goodness! She knew that before a month and she was able to go, attend cookery classes for a month. And now she was able to cook a few of Amey's favorite dishes. She'd planned to cook those for him, on his birthday.
The time was already eleven thirty, when she informed Amey that she was going to sleep. Amey, nodded yes to her and traipsed to the terrace to breathe in some fresh air. It was her luck that Amey was not anywhere around, when she managed to paste those few photos which they had taken during their three months, and a few photos of Amey's childhood.
After a senseless act of pasting the photos around the room, she took her phone to check the time. It was 11.55, and there were five more minutes.
She traipsed to the kitchen and pulled the cake out, and stomped back to their bedroom. She placed the cake on the teapoy, neatly; and looked around for one time finally. Everything was perfect. She didn't plan anything with too much of stuff. Just a few photos of them hanging around the wall, and a cake that she'd scorched for him. She knew that he'll be happy with this. Or even without all these!
Soon, after four minutes she started climbing upstairs, to go to him. To wish him a happy birthday.
Once she entered the terrace, she saw Amey standing at a corner, placing his hands on the compound; showing his back to her. She managed to tiptoe and walked stealthily, and reached his back. She saw her phone and it was twelve.
Without any second thought, she skated forward , chaining his torso with her arms. Once she clamped him and connected her fingers, she pressed her cheeks against him and muttered, "Happy Birthday, Amey!" It was the first time for her to cling on him, like that. She didn't feel coy to do so, because for life's sake he was her husband and it was his birthday.
Amey was overwhelmed feeling her against him. And with those words that she just uttered, he was completely bowled over. The astonishment made him unbuckle her hands, and move her away.
Somewhere in her heart, she felt empty seeing Amey making her go away from him. He turned around to her in a swirl and held her hands, arrestingly. He mumbled, "what did you just say?"
She craned her head a little and looking at him in an amused way, she mumbled,"I said, Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday, Amey!", she muttered, with her lips curling up in a cryptic smile that made Amey smile softly. And now, his hands which were holding her's , tightened it's grip around it and made her hands wrap around his torso.
With a chuckle, realizing the reason for him to do that earlier; she sank forward to his chest which clearly made her hear his heartbeats.
With that Amey's largish palm came swooping to shield Meghna's head. He then dropped his head down, so that his lips met her head. Soon after the peck, he mouthed,"Thank you baby!"
"May all your wishes come true, Amey! ", Meghna muttered wholeheartedly, leaning on to him in an excited state. Amey chuckled softly, and muttered back,"Thank you so much, Meghna!"
She couldn't stop the smile, that was making her lips go wide, for going into his arms. After standing there for a few more minutes, she came back from him and lipped, "We'll go, sleep!"
"Yeah. Come!", he voiced back. With that both of them came down, and Meghna asked Amey to head to the bedroom, as she tiptoed behind him to notice his reaction when he sees the room.
Once Amey, pushed the door ajar and stepped in, he could see their room, with all of their photos hanging around. His pictures with Meghna, with Anjali and Vibah, with his parents, his college photos and childhood photos.
Amey stood astonished, letting his eyes rove around the room. He had no enough time to glance around the beauty of the room, with all those photos adorning the walls. The room sounded complete now. Those two blue eyes weren't enough for him to get a load of those notable photos, around him.
Only to see Amey's face holding an amused reaction, and to see his head moving heedlessly around the walls and among the photos, she apprehended that he was happy seeing all those. With a stunned reaction, all over his face; his blue eyes sincerely staring at her, she felt her lips move incapably,"Surprise!", It was a gasp, indeed.
Amey chuckled heartily. His hands took off, and on jamming her face between his hands. He looked at her, genuinely.
Meghna did look back at him in good faith. She was trying to respond to all of the questions that his gaze asked for. Soon, Amey puckered her hair strands behind her ear, he breathed,"Thank you! Thank you so much."
That was one heck of a gaze that she had to look at. A senseless, addictive gaze that had already started to make her knees go weak. She felt like there was nothing below her knees, and If it wasn't Amey holding her, she would've fell down already due to intensity of the gaze. This man in front of her was able to make her feel every frigging thing, in the world.
She was now thunderstruck, unmindful being in his hands and gaze. His gaze. It was something that could take her to a place, from which she cannot recover back.
"Cake!", she managed to gasp, still downing the drain.
"What?", he gasped back, still looking back at her, making her go astray.
"Cake! I've got a cake for you to cut.", She said and turned a little to point out the small cake, that she'd simmered.
His head diverted towards the cake, and looked back at her, loving what she was doing for him. He would love her, even if she wasn't doing all those. But still, he felt high as a kite to witness all those.
Within Amey could thank her further, her hands were already holding Amey's wrist and dragging him towards the table.
Amey's face went upbeat further to see the cake, and those words on it. His lips tottered into an uncluttered, blissful smile, as his eyes hovered up to meet her's.
"My Amey?", he asked, letting his gaze influence her's. She felt his blue orbs mesmerizing her's.
"Yes! My Amey!", she mouthed as she smiled lusciously. Amey was now smiling at her, full-fledged. Soon, she bent forward and pulled the knife and handed over the knife to him. He got it,proudly; and sliced the cake.
With Meghna singing Happy birthday to Amey, he sliced the cake and took a piece of cake to her. She abducted that and fed Amey, first. Though, that was her first time in baking, she was kind of cool and confident about her baking skills.
Amey munched on the piece of cake and licked his lips feeling great with the taste of the cake. In real, it tasted really tempting and yummy.
"It tastes super cool!", Amey mouthed taking a piece to her mouth. On taking a bite on the piece of cake, she mouthed,"I did this!"
And Amey was now unable to believe his own ears. Did she just say that she did that cake for him? Oh my freaking god! Was it she , who'd baked the cake for him!
"Meghna!", he gasped in disbelief. She squirmed her brows and nodded her head assuring him that she was the one to do that. Amey smiled contentedly, and Meghna smiled back at him.
It was then, his phone buzzed. His hands were cake-ish. While, he was rolling his eyes to find a way to fetch his phone, Meghna helped him to do that.
"Let me!", She mumbled, before fishing the phone from his trousers' pocket. She took the phone and swiped the call and put it on Amey's ears.
And all Amey heard was his little niece squealing from the other side,"Happppyyyy Burrrdayyy Ameynnn!"
Amey chuckled cordially, hearing Vibah squawk in her babyish rhythm. "Thank you, Precious!", Amey chuckled. "Wait! Amma wants to wish." She said before dropping the phone to Anjali.
"Amey! She is going beyond,Amey! She didn't even let me wish.", Anjali whined from the other side. Amey, chuckled again; hearing her say that.
"Happy Birthday, Amey! Let this year bring lots and lots of happiness and success to you.", Anjali hankered.
"Thanks Anjali. And happiness, yeah it is with me; I guess!", He mumbled as his eyes were glued to Meghna's face. Meghna felt her heart be all over the place in happiness. Did he just mention that she was his happiness?
Soon, after talking a few more minutes to Anjali on phone, Meghna took the phone to her to talk to Anjali, and Amey went to wash his hands in the mean while. Once he was back at their room, Meghna had already gone to bed. He, soaked himself to the other side of the bed, after turning the lights off.
Meghna crawled closer to him to peck his temples, before she mumbled; "Happy Birthday! Once again."
Amey's hands darted to her and pulled her closer to him. He then kissed her hair, and mumbled,"Thank you beautiful!"
With that they drifted off to sleep.
The next morning when Amey had waken up, and Meghna had also rolled out; They were standing at the balcony with coffee mugs in their hands.
Meghna took her mug to her lips, slowly and took in a sip of that strong coffee that Amey had brewed. She could now feel Amey's stare staying frozen on her face.
Another sip in, he was still having his eyes sticking to her face.
Into the next sip, his fixed stare was clinging to her like an ivy.
Taking another sip in, and apprehending his stare to be on her, still; She mouthed,"You've your coffee mug in your hands!" looking straight somewhere, from the place where they stood.
She now heard him chuckle. The glare of his blue eyes were still watching her intently, as his eyes moved down to his lips; he sighed longingly. Within the next split second, she could hear him murmur,"I envy that coffee mug that gets lazy kisses from you, every morning!"
And she heard it.
Meghna turned her gaze to Amey, as she saw him taking his first sip from his mug.
Meghna squirmed her brows to gesture him asking him, what did he murmur, just now. He twisted his lips and answered a no.
She came to his front and laid eyes in him and inquired,"What did you just say?"
"Nothing!", He managed to leave a reply.
"I heard what you said!",Meghna raised a brow at him.
"Really?", He smirked at her.
" I can rectify the situation.. You know?", She asked, as she felt her heart racing fast. Really fast, that she'd never gone through.
"Wha-"
Before Amey could complete, her coffee varnished lips were on his' . She managed to stand on her toes to reach for his lips. As she slid forward, she crashed her lips on him, making their first kiss happen.
Amey, for a moment couldn't believe his luck.
He slowly placed the mug on the barrier, to get a hold of her face to kiss her. He did so, and their lips started to rock together, in an accord.
Perfect!
It really was, perfect.
Meghna kissed him back passionately, as he was trying to express his love in a kiss. What they were doing was a mushy, poetic kiss.
Meghna wasn't orderly all the while, when she felt Amey's lips on her. She'd gone orderless. Precisely, he had made her go orderless. With his lips moving on her's, she could fluently feel her body getting heated up . Without any hitch, her cheeks were now flaming. And needless to say, all the way through the kiss; her breathing was wobbly and sleazy. He wasn't playing fair with Meghna making her hormones go haywire, at the juncture.
And in sometime what they felt was an utter breathlessness! For sake of staying alive, they'd to pull back themselves.
Both of them were panting heavily, being at a loss of air. Meghna was now standing there, in his hands, with all of her going icy.
"What did you just do, Meghna?", He asked as his lips lurched into a gauzy smile. Carrying on her activity of smiling insanely, she mumbled,"You asked for it!"
And that's when she had to look at him, squint at those royal blue eyes, that were making her feel something. Something, deep inside her belly, stirring it recklessly. She felt it tingling, at her lower belly, with all the gurgles that it was doing to her. Just at the juncture, she felt her cheeks getting heated up; due to those eyes looking at her intensely.
Being unable to put up with that desperate gaze, she had to drop her head down. That was the first time ever, she was being able to feel the coyness due to someone's gaze. That was really an alien feeling to her. She'd never felt evasive, to face someone's gaze. And it happened now, with Amey.
After the moment, Amey had to get ready to go to his office for the day. For some reasons, she told him that she was not going to come to the office. He nodded yes, instantly. The perks of working at your husband's office, you know?
As soon as Amey drove to his office,Meghna sat upright and jotted down the stuff that she needs for the dinner, that night.
She also didn't forget to invite Amey's parents and her parents, Krish and Julie for the dinner. She made it a surprise, that Amey doesn't gets to know about the dinner plan. It was the first time she was going to cook. And she had to do it for almost nine members. She was perfect in what she did. But in cooking, she didn't know how far her skills were. Taking in a deep breathe, she assured herself that she can do it.
That evening, when Amey came back home; their house was filled with giggles and screams. It was only at eight pm, he could make it back to home; that night.
To see everyone, at their home; at the moment what Amey felt was utter happiness! He had no habit of celebrating birthdays. But then, it was a dinner together with both of their families. After their dinner, the other people left their home; in sometime. Amey, was in the bedroom; while Meghna headed to their room; with a small bundle hidden behind her.
On seeing her coming towards him, he looked at her gratefully.
"You don't want your gift?", She enquired him, raising her brows.
Amey chuckled airily, shaking his head in amusement, he sighed happily,"What you gave me this morning, is a perfect gift!"
All the while hearing these Meghna's lips lurched wide. Seeing that, he breathed again,"perfect! You know!"
Meghna chuckled and moved forward to abduct his hands. She them placed the box in his hands, with her gaze staying up on his'
His orbs were widened at the moment. Surprise was written all over his face. With his long fingers, expertly trifling over the box to open it, Meghna was curious to notice his reaction.
Only to see a virile, heavily macho , men's bangle bracelet, lying inside the cube; Amey's fingers grasped it and took it out.
He chuckled at her seeing it.
She smiled back.
"Thanks for this day,Meghna!",he mouthed wholeheartedly.
"And the dinner-",Within she could complete, he cut her off.
"The dinner was super heavenly and luscious!", Amey said and she enjoined immediately,"I cooked!" Amey's orbs had gone wide like saucers hearing that. A surprise all again!
"Meghna! You're not kidding me. Right!", He asked, with his eye balls broadened.
Meghna nodded her head in negative, with a small smile creeping up on her lips.
Amey was now feeling blithe to death!
"You did all those?"
She nodded steadily.
"Really?",he gasped looking at her in misbelief.he really did think that it was a take out from somewhere.
"Really!", she whispered.
He smiled at her in bewilderment, before pulling in her for an another kiss. A kiss that both of them could never forget, for their whole life time.
Amey, pushed to door ajar and strode in to Krish, who was lying back.
This morning when he heard, that Krish had met with an accident; he had an urgent wish to meet him and check on if he was okay.
Only to see him, skyping with Meghna at that time; and to see her cry on the phone, what he felt was a defeat. He felt like he had failed as a husband . As Sanjay, was there beside them, he had no urge to sway strings over the appetite of consoling her. Her cry, was his weakness.
As he had to go out of then room, when the doctor barged in to check Krish; he was now again going in to talk to Krish.
As he took his seat, nearby Krish; he mouthed.
"Krish! I know it is not an accident. And you didn't drink last night. Tell me the truth!", He probed Krish, with a sincere gaze.
