“What happens now?” I ask Damian.
Helena left in a cloud of smoke without another word. I’m stuck being a man until tomorrow, and I don’t know how to handle it. This isn’t me!
“Now, we go see our son. We spend tonight resting so that tomorrow, you can work on transforming into your female half. But I don’t want you to worry about anything right now.”
That’s easier said than done.
“I’ll try.” I smile.
“That’s all I’m asking. Shall we?”
I nod and follow Damian home.
