We’ve been in Lykos for two days now, waiting for the moment we can take Daniel home. Thane said he wants to speak to Damian and me tomorrow, no excuses. He left us alone for the past couple of days while we got to know our son, and we can’t put him off any longer.
I am anxious about what Thane will say to me. I defied him in that dungeon with Norma. Saltan battled the King’s command, an act that should never have occurred. Still, our determination to save Daniel eclipsed everything else.
I hope Thane isn’t too hard on me. But I’ll accept any punishment he so wishes to hand out. It would be no more than I deserve for going against the King.
