I wasn’t sure if I was hearing what she said properly. I could have sworn Tonya came into this office and said she was pregnant. That can’t be right, she can’t… I started to feel my chest tighten as the pain shot through me.

Ezra picked me up and placed me in his chair, I could hear him speaking but everything was muffled, I didn’t understand. I looked up through my watery eyes, Tonya was smiling down at me with the most evil smile. She did this, this has to be a trick.

Then all of a sudden I heard my dad's big boisterous laughter and my mom's. Ezra tensed at the sight of them. My mother rushed over to me followed by Adir.

“What’s happened, Ezra what’s wrong? Dream, darling”. She said as she was shaking me.

“What’s going on man, why is my sister acting like a vegetable”. Adir asked his words laced with fear.

I…I don’t know, how… Ezra tried to explain.

“What do you mean you don’t know? My father yelled. Do you know”? He asked Tonya.

She just found out I’m pregnant with the heir to this pack, and I guess she couldn’t take it. Tonya replied proud of herself.

The room fell silent for what seemed like forever as if it was taking everyone a minute to absorb her vile words. This was my time here, the love I had found with Ezra, me getting my footing in this pack it was over.

I can’t live like this knowing any children we have will be second to hers. Sure if she was a decent person, but she’d never let me forget her child was heir. And if any of my children challenged hers, one of them would die.

He went to reach for me but Adir jumped in his way and Ezra growled not too thrilled about Adir’s actions. “chill, dude let her calm down, it will only be worse if you try and talk it out now”.

I can’t believe this is happening right now, it’s no way I got her pregnant, I tracked her cycle and I knew exactly when to administer those pills. I can’t believe this is happening and in front of my mate's parents no less.

“Remember what I told you human, I refuse to have her mother my pups, I will kill her”. -Roman growled

Calm down… so can you sense it, is the baby ours? I asked worriedly.

“I can smell our scent, it’s strange but it’s our scent. All I know is mate is hurt and I don’t like this. It’s all your fault.”- Roman said.

“So when should I have the omegas move my things back into the pack house, I’ll need a bigger room”. Tonya said.

“First of all you’ll get nothing of the sort, your apartment is fine. That’s where you’ll stay, I’ll be making an appointment to talk with the pack doctor myself because I don’t trust you nor do I believe that is my child. If you think having that baby will make me leave my mate you’ve lost your mind. And if I lose my mate because of this, you’ll regret ever walking in my office”. I snarled out.

“ real nice Ezra, this baby is ours whether you like it or not. he will be the next leader of this pack. He will lead this pack to greatness and that will be my child not, hers MINE.” She yelled triumphantly.

She ran out of my office, before the door could shut Wilson walked in followed by Nikolai. “Wilson I need you to put a warrior on Tonya Melbourne tell them to be discreet. I want to know her every move. Nikolai I need a tracker and bug in her car and when you can her apartment. I don’t trust her I need to know the truth”.

“Done”. they said in unison and left my office.

I was so worked up that I hadn’t noticed that Adir, Aiyana, and Cailan, Eislyn’s mom dad, and brother were still in my office.

“Before you go off on me, believe me when I say this is a misunderstanding. Tonya has to be lying my gut says she is”. I said

“Are you sure it’s your intuition or is it hope that she’s lying”. Aiyana stated. She walked out taking her mate's hand he was giving me a death glare.

Adir just stood there looking at me with disappointment in his eyes. I can’t believe this s**t is currently happening. I can’t lose Eislyn, she’s all I ever wanted.

Then I don’t know what hit me I ran through the pack house up to the Alpha floor. She had a suitcase packed.

“Eislyn wait…what is this what are you doing? Please don’t go”.

“I said I need space”… she replied

“Then I’ll sleep here, you stay at the house, please just don’t leave the pack”.

“I can’t do this right now I need to go, and you need to figure out the situation with the mother of your child”.

“Don’t call her that”… I said through my teeth.

“Why? Is that not what she is…it’s just another thing she’s taken from me. She kissed you first, she f****d you first, and now…now she’ll have your first child. What do I get”? She weakly yelled at me she was on the verge of tears.

“You get, my heart something she or no other person has ever had. Please Sunshine, I need you more than you know.”

“Yeah, and I need a mate who doesn’t get other women pregnant”. With that she left, I was stunned I couldn’t believe I was losing my mate. I’ve wanted this woman for years and I got her and she is leaving me.

I got my s**t together and chased her out of the pack house she was already getting in the car with Adir and Maikiah. I chased the car down and shifted into my wolf. “Ezra, let me go please, I need time”. She linked me as she noticed the pack gates closing. I linked my warriors to let the car go. She was gone just like that, a trail of dust. Roman let out a heartbreaking howl.

“Boss, what do you need me to do”. Frederick said as he ran up to me.

“I need you to help me figure out if that baby is mine, cause either way she’s dead.”
