Carina’s POV
It’s been awhile since I’ve communicated with anybody that wasn’t in the jail with me. So watching the Yamada’s fancy lawyer explain his approach to defending my case, felt so surreal to me.
I kept zoning out, thinking this was another dream.
“Miss Corleone.” He called out, bringing me back to reality.
“Yes, Mr. Yoshida?” I cleared my throat, watching the way he was assessing me.
