Elizabeth was silent for a moment as she avoided my gaze, then when her eyes finally met mine again, it wasn't a plea in them but anger.
“You agreed you won't go after him.” She accused.
I had just said that to get her to talk to me but if I said that out loud, then I didn't know if she would ever trust my word ever again.
"You still have to answer my question, Elizabeth. Do you love him or not?" I caught her arm pulling her close so that I could look into those bewitching blue eyes and see if she was telling the truth for myself.
"Is that why you are trying to protect him?" I growled when she remained silent.
"I'm not trying to protect him," Elizabeth bit out, her eyes flashing with anger. "If you do, the Crescent Moon pack will turn on you."
