I stood outside, my gaze locked on the horizon, where the last remnants of daylight were slipping away. Alpha Winston had yet to return to the pack, and his absence weighed heavily on my mind. I sighed, feeling the exhaustion from the long day with Janet. As the minutes turned into hours, my worry deepened, and I began to miss him more with every passing moment.
"Where is he?" I muttered to myself, pacing back and forth. I couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. The pack relied on Winston, and his prolonged absence was unsettling.
