~ELIZABETH
Two days had passed since I got bitten by the enemy.
Until now, I refused to embrace my vampire qualities. My wolf was constantly fighting with my cold vampire presence every time for control over me. There was always an endless battle within me and my body continued to burn on the inside as I tried to bury my urge for blood.
I had also resulted to wearing cataracts in my eyes to hide the crimson color— incase I were to were lose control before Jameson. I had also stopped Jameson from having any s****l relations with me out of fear that I would drain his blood if we did. I could tell that I was starving my mate of his rights but it was for his safety and mine as well.
I had just finished putting on the cataracts when the scent of lavender hit my nose. My wolf curled up with desire at the knowledge that my mate was coming to me.
Not long after, he pushed the door open and he walked in, stealing all the dominance from the air and radiating it back as power. My wolf wanted him at this moment , my cold vampire presence wanted him too.
I wanted to f**k him and my vampire wanted to suck his blood. I wanted to know if his blood tasted as sweet as he tasted when making love with him but I pushed those thoughts aside and looked away from him immediately.
"You've been acting strange lately and you have not been performing your duty as future Luna," Jameson accused.
My wolf twisted with fear. Was he about to catch me? I could not let him suspect me in anyway.
"I've been feeling sick," I muttered and it was not completely a lie since my vampire side could be considered an illness.
Jameson shook his head at me before revealing a pen and a small notepad. "There's been sightings of vampires inside our territory and claims that they are living amongst us. I need you to investigate and give me names," he stated.
I nodded and giddily accepted the notepad from him. He suddenly touched my cheeks and lifted my face so that I looked into his pretty brown eyes. I felt his warmth radiating to me and I suddenly wanted him badly. I wanted all of him, from his blood to his c**k. I could not resist the urge. I knew that the moment he connected his lips with mine there would be no turning back.
It took a lot of will power and control to pull this off but I succeeded in turning him down.
"As I said earlier, I don't feel so good. Maybe when I complete this mission, I'll feel much better," I stated and began to walk out of the room.
"You've been pushing me away too much these days, what is going on with you? I'm your mate, I deserve to know," he said and all I did was stop in my tracks.
I did not dare to spare him a glance. "Its nothing, I'll be fine. I just need some space," I announced and walked out of the room.
I stepped out in the sun with no thoughts of actually completing the mission. This was just an excuse for me to leave the house.
The sun blazed down on my skin and I basked at the warmth. Having a werewolf side gave me an advantage over the other vampires. I could come out in the sun and not get harmed.
I ended up roaming the streets and eating all the meat I could find at barbecue stands. I had noticed that I developed a crazy urge for meat since I got bitten and it was slowly growing into something else.
Suddenly, I caught the scent of blood from a distance. It smelt so good and it lured me in. I tried to resist the call but it was almost as if it was beckoning me over.
So much so that I felt my body begin to shift. It was a battle between my wolf and my vampire. They were both fighting to become the dominant creature and in the end, only my lower body shifted into a wolf and my upper body took a transformed vampire form.
My skin felt paler and cold while my fangs were out to play. The cataracts phased away and I knew that all who caught sight of me would be terrorized.
So I stuck to the shadows to hunt my prey. As I tracked the scent through the streets of New Jersey, the sun began to set and I realized that other predators would be out to play. I needed to get to my prize first.
I soon found a house that had a bulb burning with a bright light. Or perhaps it was because that was the house where the scent was coming from, that was why it felt as if it burnt the brightest.
I stealthily entered the house and reached the room. Inside, I froze at the sight I saw. It was a young girl sleeping peacefully on her bed. She had hurt her wrist and it was bandaged yet the injury seemed to be bleeding again.
I stood in the shadowy part of the room and watched the girl. She was a werewolf and her blood smelt the sweetest. I also knew that it was going to taste better than any human blood.
Yet she was just a child and she was one of my subjects— if I was to become future Luna. How could I do this to her?
But the cold presence urged me to go forward. I had starved it for days now and it was harder to resist.
Against my will, I found myself approaching the child. I reached her bed and lifted her hand. My wolf was still fighting my vampire, urging it to stop. My heart ached with agony from what I was about to do.
I slowly brought my fangs to her hand and was about to sink it in when something suddenly grabbed me and zoomed me out of the house at a speed that I could not explain.
One moment, I was in the girl's room and the next, I was in the woods. When I looked up, I was met with the same vampire, the vampire who had put me in this mess in the first place.
Anger and rage suddenly seized me and I bared my teeth at him.
"How dare you stop me?! I was about to feed!" I screamed.
And he only stared at me as if I had lost my mind. "On a werewolf? If I allowed you to feed then you would have killed her and perhaps hurt yourself in the process. You can't keep going on like this! You need to embrace your vampire and start learning to control it!" He scolded me.
And for the first time, I noticed the streaks of red at the tips of his hair and the dark eyeliner that he wore as well as the fact that he had beautiful emerald green eyes that bore into my soul as he towered above me.
"If you didn't turn me, then we would not be here," I muttered quietly in a sad tone.
The vampire sighed heavily. "Fine, feed on my blood instead," he muttered back.
I shot him a surprised look and caught the concern in his eyes. I could not believe him and I wanted to refuse but of course, the evil and treacherous cold presence within me wanted to know how he tasted.
Without hesitation, I pounced on him and sank my fangs into his neck. The vampire moaned just as I moaned and drew in his blood. It tasted sweet and forbidden.
There was this excitement and insatiable hunger that came with taking forbidden things, it was never enough. I wanted to keep drinking him in.
His blood made my insides dance with desire and for once, my wolf agreed with my vampire. He suddenly stopped me and we both glared into each other's glowing crimson eyes, panting heavily.
For the first time, I realized how handsome he was and I wanted to know how it would feel to have him f*****g me while I fed on him.
My thoughts scared me and I immediately stood up to leave.
"Wait, I'm Darius Nights and if you change your mind about me teaching you control, you know where to find me," he announced before disappearing into the night.
