Chapter 4: Hanging Out

Night came and it was time to meet Ryan. There was something about him that I like. I couldn't wait to see him. He managed to get my attention.

We arrived at the restaurant and saw them at the table, we walked there and greeted them. I sat next to him while Brooke sat next to Isaac.

"Now that we are all familiar with each other, let's order, this guy is hungry." Isaac mentioned as he pointed at himself. "I was about to eat a sandwich and this guy dragged me away." Isaac told us causing us to laugh and Ryan to roll his eyes. 

We ordered and while we waited we got to know more about each other. Isaac was something else, he was like a male version of Brooke. 

Our orders came and we dig in, I love sushi. After we finished our food, we went to a bakery and ordered chocolate cake.

"So good to eat cake again." Ryan mentioned as Isaac agreed with him.

"Strict diet back home?" Brooke asked them.

"Yeah, it's all about appearances back home. so its good to be here and do whatever we want. legally of course." Ryan said as we chuckled at the last part.

"Well, I guess you really forgot how to eat cake, cause you got frosting on your nose." I chuckled as he went red.

"My bad. Guess I got lost in the moment." he said sheepishly as I grabbed a napkin and wiped the frosting off. We stare a bit into each others eyes then I returned to my cake. He was intimidating when he looked directly into my eyes.

After our cake fun at the bakery, we went to the park. Isaac and Brooke ran to the swings. Those two are like little kids. The would be perfect for each other. We went to sit on a bench and just enjoyed the breezy night. 

"Thank you for today. I like your company. You're different from the girls i've met. "

"Thank you." I smiled. 

After hanging out, we said bye and went our separate ways. Once we arrived home, Brooke gave me a look with a slight smirk.

"What?"

"You like him. Oh my cheeky bestie likes someone. thought this day would never come." She faked a sniffle.

"Okay, drama queen. We just met today, sure he's hot as hell, but like him like that, it's too early." I replied.

"Are you trying to convince me or you?" She said before going to her room. I can't with sometimes. No one gets a crush on the first day of meeting. That only happens in stories.

The next day I was grabbing some books for my first 3 classes. Brooke was busy texting Isaac. They hit it off really well.

"Bonjour, Belle." I turned to see Ryan smiling. I couldn't help but smile back.

"Hi. Ready for your first day?" I asked him.

"Oh yeah, I can't wait." He replied. His locker was next to mine. He left some books and grabbed the ones we needed.

The professor left us a group project, I got paired with Ryan and some snobby girl. Just my luck.

"So like, we should do this project in my house cause I'm allergic to poor people and I don't want to be in your house."

"Let me guess, daddy dearest bought your way into college?" I said in an annoyed tone, this girl deserves a slap.

"You got a problem with that?" She answered.

"Yes, this project is half our grade, if we fail cause of you, I will chop off your hair and give you a new nose. Is that clear?" I shot back.

"Chillax, I'll work only if Ryan goes out on a date with me."

"Yeah, I rather fail. No offense but superficial girls like you aren't my type." He answered in the most polite way. I wanted to laugh.

"Guess we're all gonna fail." With that said she left.

"Well, I say we talk to the Dean about this situation, I take my career very serious." I told him. He agreed with me and we went to the Dean's office. She told us that she would have a word with the professor and to not worry about it. 

"Phew. So Ryan, I like totally think we should do our project away from here. It stinks." I said while mimicking Michelle. He just laughed.

"How about my house?" He suggested.

"Sounds good. Let's go." I said as we walked to his car. I told Brooke to take the car since I was going with Ryan.

We arrived at his house and it was gorgeous. Nothing like living in a beach house.

"Nice place."

"Thank you."

We worked on the project for about two hours and then took a break. Even though this is due in three weeks, I like things to be done before the deadline.

We decided to watch a movie and relax. Gotta say, I do enjoy his company. He's different from all the guys I've met. He was a gentleman and really charming. I wanted to know more about him.
