Chapter 5: Unexpected Surprise.

After watching the movie, we went to his kitchen, he made sandwiches. we sat on the kitchen island and ate. a few minutes later, there was a knock on the door. He got off the stool and went to open it.
"Uncle, N-" He put his hand around her mouth. "I miss you so much." She hugged him. That was adorable.
"Hi, I'm Elizabeth, Liz for short." I greeted them.
"I'm his sister. Kendra." We shook hands.
"And I'm, Alice. like Alice in wonderland." She giggled while playing with her dress. I couldn't help but chuckled at how cute and adorable she was.
Nicolas
"Liz, do you mind if I have a little chat with my sister and niece?"
"Don't worry, I'll ask Brooke to pick me up." She answered.
"You don't have to leave. It will be a quick little chat."
"Are you sure? I don't mind."
"I'm sure. We'll be back in a bit." I said as she nodded. I went to the yard with them.
"So, new city, new life, New name I'm guessing?"
"Yes, I was getting so much pressure back at the palace. So mother helped me escape. I don't want to get married, I like living here." I sighed.
"I feel you, That's why Mother also helped me escape. I ran away to Argentina and met the love of my life, There was no way I was marrying Prince, Jeremy. arrogant prick."
"Anyway, enough about me. You like this girl."
"I do, but I won't act on it right now, it's too soon. I want to know more about her." I told her, "Alice, my name right now is Ryan, not Nicolas. okay?"
"Yes uncle, Ryan." She giggled. She's something else. She's 4 years old and a smart little cookie.
"Where's, Tomas?"
"Daddy is back home. He's a very busy man." We just laughed.
"He has an important meeting, he's hoping to get a job raise." Kendra told me. we chat a bit and then went inside, we walked to the living room and found Liz sleeping on the sofa. I put a blanket on her and let her sleep in peace.
"She's very pretty, you should make her a princess." Alice whispered.
"Maybe one day I will." I smiled.
Two hours went by and she was starting to wake up.
"I'm sorry for falling asleep, too tired." she told us while rubbing her eyes.
"You should be with my uncle and then you can be my aunt, how cool is that?" Alice squealed
"Uhm, were just friends, we just met yesterday." She replied.
"Phooey." She pouted. We just chuckled.
Elizabeth
"Well, we have to go. It was nice meeting you, Elizabeth."
"Likewise." I answered.
"Bye, Lizzy. psst date my uncle, he's lonely." She giggled then walked over to Kendra and left.
"Sorry about my niece. She's something else." He sighed.
"No worries. She's adorable." I smiled.
"I'm home. And I brought dinner cause I'm too exhausted to cook." Isaac announced as he made his way to the kitchen. we followed him.
"Chef school is great, also the chicks there are so hot." He said as he grabbed some plates and put them on the table.
"I thought you hit it off really well with Brooke?" I said.
"She is great, but as a friend. Besides, I just want to have fun. This is LA. I'm not looking for a relationship, Just to hangout and that's it. No strings attached."
"Wow, never thought you would be a player." Ryan said to him.
"And a jerk." I mumbled.
"Because I don't want a relationship I'm a jerk? Or because I want only friendship with Brooke?" He said while raising his voice.
"Dude chill." Ryan told him.
"Because I really can't stand players like you. I'll see you tomorrow, Ryan." With that said I left the house.
"Wait up!" I turned to see Ryan running after me.
"I can walk, don't worry." I told him.
"It's going to take you two hours to walk back to your place. Besides I would never let you walk alone. Now come on grumpy, I'm taking you to your house." He smiled.
"If you insist." I chuckled. We got on his car and I told him where I live.
After a 30 minute drive, we arrived. I turned to face him and he sighed.
"Look, I'm sorry about Isaac. This all just new to him. So he want's to experience everything. He will come to his senses. I hope."
"That's fine. He was actually nice, I bet he met some tools at his chef school." I rolled my eyes.
"Maybe, but he will come around."
"Maybe. Thanks for bringing me home. I'll see you tomorrow." I smiled.
"You're welcome." He smiled back. I got out of his car and went inside the building. He waited till I was inside and then drove off.
I made my way inside the apartment and was met by Brooke dancing. "What's with the happy dance?"
"Isaac invited me to dinner tomorrow."
"Really? when did he asked you out?"
"This morning I got a text from him. I think Isaac might be the one." She said so excited.
Do I tell her that Isaac only wants a friendship from her and that he's a freaking player? I don't want to spoil her little happy moment. What to do?
