Chapter 12

Amelia's POV:

I find myself getting up early in the morning. Get dressed and left my house early. Not wanting any students to see or else. Goodbye world. I put my hoodie and distance myself from everyone and avoiding eye contact.

Ouch! I just bumped into someone. Okay. Maybe avoiding eye contact wasn't a good idea.

I slowly look up, hoping and praying that it wasn't a guy or I'm doomed. I saw Quiel. Great! So much hoping for not being a guy, Quiel was shocked when he saw my face. Didn't he get Alexa's memo? Come to think of it, I didn't see him or Nathan. It's impossible for them not to know about Alexa's announcement. I mean, who wouldn't want to date her.

To be honest if I were a boy, I would totally date her. Let’s minus the fact that she is a monster, I was busy panicking I didn't realize was talking to me. "Huh? Sorry?" I asked with a confused looked. He looked at me with worried eyes. Why would he be so worried?

"I ask if you are okay." He said. Let's see if I'm okay. I have bruises all over body including my face. I'm definitely okay. It's no big deal. I hope you can hear the Sarcasm tone. "I'm fine. Just cover with bruises." I said, rolling my eyes at him. Since his here might as well let him beat me.

"Since you're here...” I said as remove my hoodie. I notice that he was shocked when he saw my face. I waited for him to beat but nothing came. "Uh aren't you going to beat me up?" I asked. "You're asking me to beat you up?" He asked with confusion while I nodded.

We both stared at each other with confusion. I was confused he was not beating me while Quiel was confused why I wanted to get beaten up. "Why do you want me to beat up you up?" Quiel asked. Didn't he read Alexa's announcement? "So you can have a date with Alexa?" I said in a duh tone. "I don't get it." Quiel said. Me neither. I might as well ask him the question.

"Did you get Alexa's announcement that whoever made my life miserable would get a date from her." I asked as I waited for a nod but instead he shook his head.

WHAT!!!

"No. I didn't get any announcement. The basketball team went out for a practice." he said. "Meaning......" I trailed. "Meaning that we don't know anything about the announcement," Quiel said. I was about to open my mouth when I hear someone call my name. We both looked and saw two boys.

"Did you think that you can hide from us?" One guy smirked. Because I panicked I took a step back. "I-I wasn't hiding?" I said. "Good. Now let's make your life miserable." Quiel suddenly but in, "Why don't I make your life miserable?" Quiel said as he pushes me behind. "Do we have a problem here?"

The guys was shocked when Quiel but in. Did I mention that Quiel is also a bad boy? He is one of the boys you don't want to mess with. He and Nathan are the bad boys to be specific. "None of your business dude." One guys said. "We came here for Amelia not you." The other one said.

"None of my business," He asked as he grabs their collars. "Who says it's not of my business?" he yelled.

The guys looked they are going to pee in their pants. "Sorry dude. W-we just Amelia that's all." one said. "What do you want Amelia for?" he asked but they didn't answer. "ANSWER ME!" he yelled. “A-Alexa made an announcement that whoever will make Amelia’s life miserable could date her.” One guy said. “It’s true. We are only doing this for her.” The other guy said.

"Is that true?" Quiel asked me as he turn to me and I nodded. Man! This is the first time I saw him angry. He is really scary. He turn back to the two guys, "I have an announcement to make." He said. "And, I want you to deliver it to all the boys."

The two guys saw a very very scary Quiel and couldn’t even budge. All they can do is nod. "I want you two to announce to all the boys to stay away from Amelia. On top of it, Alexa will not know any if this." Did I hear what i think he is saying? He wants the boys to stay away from me? Why does he want to that? On the good side though, I think I could survive another day without getting killed.

"Do I make myself clear?" Quiel asked bu no responses came. "DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?" he yelled and the guys started to panic. "Yes! W-we will tell all the boys and A-Alexa will not know any of this." They said.

"Very good," Quiel said as he let them go. "If Alexa knew any of this, I'll hunt you two." He said, more like threaten the guys. The two nodded again. "Get Lost." Quiel said and they guys scram off like their life depends on it.

It kinda does....

After the guys scram off, Quiel turns to face me. Quiel just saved me. I repeat Quiel just saved me. Okay, Crush mode is back on. I think my hair is longer than Rapunzel. "I-I-I" I trailed as no word could leave my mouth.

"You're saying something?" He asked. "I-You-I mean why?" I asked. "Why?" he asked with a confused looked. "I was actually expecting a thank you." He said. He did save my life. I should at least thank him.

"Yeah but why?" I asked again. Why does the thank you word could get out of my mouth? "Because they are going to hurt you," He answered. "You should have let them." I said. BTW, I'm still in shock and still processing every detail that just happen. "Too bad I cannot let them." He said. "Why?" I asked. What is with the word why and why do I keep on saying it. "Because I won't let them hurt my friends and I consider you as a friend." He smiled.

"Y-You're considering me as friend?" I asked and he nodded. "Thank You." I smiled.
