Amelia's POV: Should I tell Madi that Nathan and I went to McDonald after we dropped her off? If I do, what will she feel? I think is she going to be mad at me. On the other hand, I can just tell her that he got hungry on the way or he is going to pay Quiel a visit. No, it's right? What do I need to do? I should tell her the truth. "What are you thinking?" A voice came out of nowhere, interrupting my thoughts. "No, we didn't go to McDonalds." I accidentally said as I looked at the person. To my surprise, it is Madi. Oops! Someone is in trouble and that someone is me. "Huh? Are you okay?" She asked with an eyebrow up. "Yeah, I’m just thinking about the present." I lied. "I know how you feel." Madi said as she sat down next to me. "I'm sure that there are other jewelries that we could find." She smiled. The best about having Madi is that she is always positive. She doesn't know when to give up. She is the type of person who will get what she wants and nothing can't stop her. "You're right." I smiled as I faced her. "We can do this. I just need another gift to give to her." Our conversations were interrupt when the mean girls walked by. "Look what have we here? Two nerds in the hallway. If you are planning on winning the singing competition, then don't bother. You're gonna loose anyway." Alexa glared while her minions laughed. So, this is the part I hate when it comes to school. They are the it-girls and we are the non-existing girls. They are popular, we are not popular. Boys drool over them. Boys hates us. You probably know the difference. What singing competition is she talking about. Just a simple competition to show your singing skills. And, why did I join? I have no choice. My teacher accidentally entered my name. Once your name is entered, there is no backing out. I tried to reason out, that I don't sing but teachers would never admit their mistakes. She did apologized; however, there is nothing that she can do. "Listen Alexa, I'm not there to win. The teacher accidentally added my name. I tried to reason to out but she can't do anything. I'm unable to back out because also depends on it." I explained as I don't want any trouble. The mean girls are fine; they won't give you a headache as long as you kept your distance away from them and mind your own business. But with the look on their faces, she’s not buying it. "Say all you want. I'm still going to beat you." She glared as they walked away. "Be my guest." I whispered. To be honest, I thought I was done; I would like to stay alive until the end of the school year. "Hey Falcon" A familiar voice called out of nowhere. The voice also made the mean girl stopped to my direction. Wait, he remembered me. That's a first. I was 100 percent sure that they won't remember us. I guess I was wrong. It is wrong to judge other people. Not wanting to turn, but it can't be helped as he kept on calling me. "Hey Falcon" There it is again. Okay, let’s get this over with. I turned to see the person calling me. The person is none other than Nathan, who happens to drag Quiel with him. Please don't make me stuttered. "Hey Falcon" He smiled. "Hi Nathan" I smiled but the tone of my voice is very nervous as some students, including the mean girls are looking at us. "Listen, I heard that there is a*****e selling vintage locket and I thought about you." He smiled. This is just great. This is just what I wanted. People are listening to our conversation. They are no judging me, why the heck the heartthrobs are talking to the nerds. Goodbye World. What did he just said? "Really" I asked, shocked. "That's great, where can I find it?" I asked. "Here's their card. They are open Mondays to Saturdays. 9 a.m. to 8 p.m." Nathan said as he hand me a business card. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe this. Thank you so much." I smiled. "I’m glad that I could help." He said. "See you around." Nathan left followed by Quiel. But before he walked away, he looked at me. "See you around batgirl. By the way, i hope your stall is open on Friday. I'll be stopping by." He smiled. In state of shocked, all I did was nodded and watched them left. I slowly turned around and noticed that all students are looking at me like a criminal. The mean girls are glaring at me like i stole their boyfriends and Madi is also in shocked. Luckily, the bell rang. It made the students forget what just happen. "You got some competition." Madi said more like teasing. "Now it’s not the time for joking." I playfully glared at her. Classes have already ended. Thank god! However, Madi is craving for McDonald. Dun dun Dun dun. Could you hear my heart beating so fast? Is this some kind of sign? I guess the universe wants me to tell Madi my secret. Take a deep breath Amelia; she's not going to kill you. Is she? "Don't mind them. They just love to scare people like us because they know that we are scared of them." She said. "Are you scared of them?" I asked. "No" She answered, shaking her head. "I could kick their ass." Madi smirked while I laughed. HOW COME SHE IS ALWAYS POSITIVE IN EVERY WAY? "Before I forget, how does Nathan know your middle name?" She asked all of sudden. There goes my heartbeat again. It’s beating like crazy. I guess, this is now the sign to tell her. I looked at her nervously while she waited for my answer. "Nathan asked me while waiting for our order?" I said. Her face was shocked. I'm so dead meat. This is it. Goodbye guys! "What?" She asked again. "Nathan got hungry after we dropped you off so he offered to grab some foods at McDonald." I answered. "YOU GUYS WHAT?" She yelled.
