Our Happy Ending

1584 Words
"You came." Arthmael didn't wait for her to say anything, as soon as she locked the door of his room, a look on her so vulnerable, as if she told him she had just lost the battle within herself to keep her word, in only some steps he had her pinned on the wall, his lips all over hers in a kiss there was nothing loving or caring about it. It was a kiss of hunger. Simple pure thought-consuming hunger that made them tangle their arms and legs around each other, at least as much as her dress could let she wrap her arms around him. And all Evelyn wanted was for him to rip apart all the material of her skirts and feel him pressed between her legs, but she knew he couldn't do this. "Arthmael," she panted when his lips left hers, moving down on her neck, sucking on her skin and it was almost bruising but that was exactly what her body needed right now, what it craved the most. Throwing her head back, she let out breathy little sounds that made Arthmael lose all control, if he had had any until now. Which he hadn't. "You came," he repeated, without warning holding her bodily and making some steps back until he was sitting down on the edge of the bed, not once separating his lips from her lips, her neck, her opened chest. Making Evelyn wonder how his body kept functioning without taking any oxygen in. Straddling his lap, her arms around his neck and her fingers buried in his silky hair, she started grinding herself to him, feeling as he only grew impossibly harder. A low growl formed in the depth of his throat as he moved his lips to her breast, trying and failing to get off her really complicated dress. "We should stop, we should..." Evelyn whispered and for a second they both stopped moving, eyes on each other as if they would find the answers there. His thumb traced the outline of her swollen lip. "Tell me to stop, Evelyn, and I will." His hand moved down to her throat with a kind of tenderness that made her body scream for more. "Tell me. Tell me to stop kissing you, to stop touching you..." "No, no don't stop," she pleaded, desperately. "Don't stop touching me, touch me everywhere." "Bloody hell," he groaned, watching the way her lips parted when he finally took her n****e between his fingers. "We've lost, little mate, so don't try to fight it―" "Oh," Evelyn moaned when he took her n****e in his mouth. Had he ever been more right than now? They had lost, spectacularly, but oh what a loss it was. "I swear to God this bloody dress..." Evelyn giggled, which turned into a cry when he slipped his hands under her dress, removing her underwear. She wasn't even sure when he had removed his pants but it didn't matter now; feeling his bare length pressed to her did matter the most. "Evelyn!" He groaned almost painfully while she lowered herself on his agonizingly slow, and he couldn't take it. With a move of his hips he pounded into her, taking her by surprise and a startled cry escaped her mouth. "Do it again," Evelyn urged, and it was enough for Arthmael to start pounding at her, his face buried on her neck as he sucked in there. However the breath got caught on her throat when she felt elongated canines on her skin, a split second away from biting down on her neck and leaving his mark there. "Arthmael," she called him in panic. "Arthmael, you should stop." "I can't." His voice sounded pained, so were his hands that moved on her hips, bringing her down to meet his thrusts. "Goddammit, I can't control myself, I need you to be mine." A part of her wanted this as much as Arthmael did. Wanting him to claim her, for everyone to know who she belonged to, but what would happen after that? "I am yours." "You aren't." Finally, cupping his face, she was able to bring him to look at her. "I am. Just as you are mine." Kissing his mouth tenderly, she kept sliding up and down him. "Mark my lips instead, Arthmael, mark them." He kissed on them hard, until he almost tasted blood. Silencing her cries of ecstasy for no one outside to hear, until an orgasm ripped through her body, making her tremble in his arms and even then he didn't move out of her. "I've marked your lips since the very first time I've met you, Evelyn." Evelyn smiled, her eyes still closed. "That, you've done..." But she didn't finish when she pinned her on the mattress, finally able to untie her corset and get the dress off her body. "Beautiful. So bloody beautiful." Not losing more time, he grabbed on her legs again, throwing them over his shoulders as he kept slamming into her hard. And Evelyn had absolutely no idea how he could be that caring and romantic one second and this dominating in the other. "Evelyn," he growled lowly. Knowing what he wanted, and what she wanted in equal measures, she urged him even more. "Come inside me, please. I wanna feel you come inside me." "God." It was like he had no control over his body, she said those words and he was already coming hard inside of her, Evelyn coming in the same time and he had to silence her mouth with his mouth once again. She was such a noisy lover, yet it drove him even more insane, the way she reacted to everything he did to her body. "That was... out of this world," she panted, her eyes still closed. Watching her like that, after their lovemaking, it was more than beautiful. Naked and sweaty, lips swollen, long black waves spread on the pillow and some strands glued on her face. It made him want her all over again. "What if someone had noticed we're both missing?" Her eyes flew open. "What if they're looking for us, what if they smell our scents on each other's bodies?" "My love, calm down―" "How do you tell me to come down, Arthmael, this is dangerous. This is forbidden." Getting up from the bed, she started getting dressed. Not that it was easy now that there weren't any maids helping her out. "I shouldn't have come. We said it was an one time thing... This is wrong." "If it's wrong then why does it feel so right?" His words caught her by surprise. "Tell me, why does this feel like the rightest thing I have ever done in my entire life? Like everything I've done, every step I've taken it was to bring me here, with you?" Was there anything more beautiful someone had said to Evelyn in her entire life? No, there wasn't. Still, she looked away, refusing to meet his eyes, until he got up from the bed and grabbed her chin gently. "Don't you feel the same?" His lips hovered above hers, not touching but it was as if they were touching anyway. His words were touching. "Don't you?" "I should go." Somehow, she took the courage to take a step back and start to think a bit clearer. Turning on her heels, she reached the door, a part of her wanting to screw everything else and be fully his instead. "So how long will you keep doing this?" Anger had bubbled up on his voice. "How long will you keep playing this game; come to me, call us a mistake, push me away and then the same circle over and over again?" "Arthmael―" "Do you even love me, Evelyn? Or is it only the bond?" This time it was her that turned to look at him angrily. "Do I love you?!" Her voice was accusing. "Are you really asking that right now? Don't you know the answer to that?" "I don't." "Then you won't hear it." Stubbornly, she tried walking away once again but this time he was inches away from her in a second, grabbing her wrist and forcing her to face him. "Do you?" He whispered. This time, for her complete surprise, he sounded insecure. And there was a second when they only stared into each other's eyes that felt like a lifetime full of meaning and longing and desperation. In that right moment, Evelyn crashed her lips to his, kissing him deeply. "How many times do I have to tell you for you to believe me? I love you. I love you so much, it hurts." A single tear escaped her eye and Arthmael wiped it away with his thumb.  His heart pounded in his chest like crazy. "I love you more," he whispered, brushing her hair behind her ear. "I love you most." "But this isn't enough, Arthmael. Actions have consequences. Because of me, my mother and brother died before I even got to know them. Because of me Robert was able to kill my father, because of me our world ended up on war. And somehow, I was able to survive through it all." Tears filled up her eyes as she reached for the door once again. "But don't you get it? We won't be able to get our happy ending, Arthmael. And if I get you killed... If I get you killed I will die."
