Chapter 20 - When It Gets Real

Klasy woke up early the following day to prepare for their island hopping. The things they will be needing like aqua shoes and dry bag are all provided by Theo. His secretary has been a great help to them. Last night, before they separated rooms, Theo mentioned that he still has to attend a meeting with their operating managers in US. Even they are on a vacation, he still has to be working, same with Paolo.

"Too early! Are you that excited, Klasy?" Rowy was interrupted from her sound sleep when Klasy dropped the sunblock that she was about to put in the dry bag. Her bestfriend decided to sleep here tonight.

She received a call from Dave the same morning. He's asking if they can have coffee together which she immediately agreed to. They met at the coffee shop in the group floor. She smiled looking at him all set for the island hopping. The first 3 buttons of his polo shirt are undone. His shades on the top f his head, suppressing his straight long hair to cover his face.

"Good morning, Klasy." He tried to be formal which made her c***k a laugh. That's the only thing he said and that's enough to have her laughing.

"Are we business partners? Are we dropping the friends title?" She said as she pulled a seat close to him. They have always been close. He is like a male version of Rowy, it's just that they don't hang out as often as Rowy and Klasy do. Paolo also hates his guts, so either they are meeting without Pao or they meet in vacations like this with other friends.

"You've been so busy lately, I started thinking you're avoiding me. But it turns out, someone else is keeping you busy huh!" He handed her the menu as he signaled the waiter to get their order.

Klasy gave him a sincere smile. He's one of the first persons she wanted to tell the news, but it's also hard to find time as Dave is a busy man.

They placed their order and started talking casually. They can sit like that for hours just enjoying the company of each other. Dave became very honest with her, he doesn't like Callosi Brothers, but he was not really against their relationship.

"You and Pao have always been cold to each other. And the thing in the past which made you hate Theo so bad, I think it's valid. I don't want to force you to like them, but..."

"I understand, Klasy. I know that a lot has changed with Theo. He doesn't play around anymore, he looks serious about you. But just so you know, Klasy, I will eb the one to throw hands at him when he hurts you. I don't exactly trust him, but seeing you glow last night, it made me consider him. I trust you, you won't date just anyone." Klasy bite her lip when he mentioned he last sentence. This is her first time getting into a relationship. She has no idea if she is doing it right. Just yesterday, she got engaged and no one else knew. She is having the best time of her life, but she honestly don't know where this is going. Right now, she wants to drop all the expectations from their friends, she just wants to be happy with Theo.

"Thanks, Dave. You know that you will be the first erson I'll find too if I have something to cry about. I hope you will stay with me for the rest of our lives even I'm immature sometimes." They have this special bond like brothers. She has a lot of cousins, but she is specially comfortable around Dave. They can drink together late at night, and she will still feel safe.

"You better not end up crying, Klasy. Remember how I handle your basher before? I'll be much worse to the guy who breaks your heart." That's how protective he is. She's glad to be there also during his crying nights. He has lot of burdens that only Klasy can understand.

They watched the sunrise. They even took picturesque photos of each other. Rowy joined them after an hour. They have their things with them, so they can just wait for others. Klasy was smiling the entire time looking at her phone.

"Disgusting. This is exactly how couples start." Rowy commented when Dave mouthed her to look at her bestfriend. Klasy's eyes were literally sparkling at that moment as she typed.

"WHY don't ou try getting into a serious relationship, Rowy? Try to be disgusting, it actually feels real." She said not even glancing at them. Dave laughed which earned him grin from Rowy.

"Is that funny?" Dave nodded shamelessly. She rolled her eyes and sat straight.

"I don't know why I can't keep a relationship. It bothers me too. You shouldn't be making fun of me. If I find the right guy, I'll marry him right away. No discussion with you guys, I'm marrying him anytime anywhere when felt like it." ROwy's bold statement bothers Dave. He meddle a lot with their lives which they like too. He's like a safety pin, someone who keeps them rational.

"That's how you ruin your own life, Rowy." He said bluntly.

"I will live a good life with a good man, I'll show you!" Seh answered confidently.

"Okay. I'll be the primary sponsor on your wedding, so don't rush in getting married. You've always talked about how you wanted a grandiose wedding. Your friends, family and your workmates deserve to celebrate love with you when you finally..." Someone cleared his throat which made them stopped from talking. Klasy raised her hair to see that person. Dave and Rowy looked behind them only to see Paolo wearing adesigner polo and khaki shorts. His eyes are directed at Dave.

"Talking about marriage?" He asked sarcastically. HE's always like that around Dave so they are used to it.

"YOu're actually joining. What a surprise you woke up early!" Rowy told him as he gestured Paolo to sit on the vacant chair beside Klasy.

He took a deep sigh. He stared at Dave again after taking a seat. The ladies don't pay much attention to that.

"We have a lot to talk about, Klasy." His serious voice put Klasy back into reality. She was giggling inside reading Theo's messages. He's already up and ready but he needed to take the urgent call with the board so now they are texting, ranting to each other.

"Ahm... Pao, actually. Yes, I agree. We have a lot to talk about. We have a lot of time here in the island. I'll tell you everything you want to hear." He didn't show any reaction to that. His eyes are glued again to Dave. Just how much they hate each other?

" Can you order me another cup, Dave? I'm still sleepy." Rowy requested him patting his shoulder while looking at her phone. She's watching a lesson for the business course she's taking.

"Okay. Let's make it two shots of espresso only. You might have heartburn later." Dave mentioned.

"Three shots!" She looked at him with puppy eyes.

"Two." He said with finality. She pouted and said okay.

Paolo threw his phone on the table which made the ladies almost jumped out of their seats.

"Hey!" Rowy shouted with her forehead furrowed and her eyes burning.

"Sorry, my phone dropped accidentally." He said sarcastically.

Rowy's brow raised and then they started arguing non-stop again. Their voice was so loud and loathing like old married couple. Both Klasy and Dave decided to put their airpods as they focused on their phones.

Around 9 AM when they hopped in to the boat. Theo was undeniably obsessed with Klasy, and Klasy was just the same. Even their friends cannot tolerate their sweetness.

Theo captured the best photos of Klasy. She is glowing, her smile has never been that happy before. They spread positive vibes everywhere. Everytime they will ask someone to take pictures of them, all their friends are teasing them which everytime makes Klasy blush.

"They are so loud." Theo murmured while they are having lunch.

"They're always like that. I'm so full now, Theo. The scallops are the best, I feel like I'll miss it. This is the best scallop I have tasted." She said showing her empty plate.

He laughed and out another one on her plate.

"I can go back here once a month to order scallops then I'll study their recipe so I can cook you the same." That made her smile bigger.

"Will you?" She asked though she knows that Theo is just bragging.

"I will. Life is short, I want to give you all the things you want in the world. I also don't want you missing other things except me." He winked at her then reached out for his glass of water. She lightly pinched his arm.

"Ouch!! That hurts!" He shouted which made everyone looked at them again.

"So extra! Can you get a room?" Rowy is becoming their number 1 hater.

"Yes please. I can't wait to go back to the hotel and get a ro..." He pinched him harder that made him shout louder.

"I'm leaving you here if you say one more disgusting statement!"

"You can't leave me. I paid for everything." He said pouting. That surprised everyone around them, even Paolo wanted to hit his own brother now.

"Eew, I think we can collectively agree to leave him here or send him back earlier. I've never seen him like that. Is that your brother, Pao? no way that's the Theo we used to hang out with? Oh the man in Vegas wasn't you." Zey's jaw dropped in awe of the soft version of Theo.

"What happened in Vegas?" Klasy raised her brow.

Rowy covered her mouth to avoid laughing.

"Are we really gonna start this conversation, ZEy? I'll kill you." Theo was so pressed which made everyone laugh. Nobody in that table doesn't know that he used to be a heart breaker. Even Klasy knows it.

"We'ore not joinining you guys tomorrow. You all are bullies." Theo said as his arm wrapped around Klasy's waist.

"We can talk about what happened in Vegas later when we go back to the hotel." She said with a scary smile. He shook his head.

"I can't remember anything. That's all in the past. That's not something we should..."

"Okay, I can ask Zey directly."

"Hmm, I somehow can recall. Let's talk later, Zey will make it sound OA." Klasy was just kidding, but she enjoyed seeing him stuttered like this.

They enjoyed the day. Tan lines, sunburns, and happy memories, those will be remembered for the rest of their lives. They will get old, and look back to the pictures they took that day. They said youth is often wasted, but lucky their circle is to know how to enjoy while living a busy life.

Theo was so down for her. When she yelled at him for almost hitting his head in the rock when he dived, he smiled fondly and shrugged his shoulder. If it was another woman, it would be so annoying to him. But Klasy became everything to her. He would accept all the yelling and nagging because it's here.

"I love you to the moon and back, Klasy Collin!" He shouted while paragliding. All of thrir friends were taking videos. Klasy was just there feeling the stompy sparks in her heart.
