Chapter 3 - Vacation with Friends

Klasy and Paolo were among the people to arrive last in the resort. Theo was already there, and enjoying some mangoes. He greeted Klasy with a wide smie in his face. He seemed to be in a good mood.

"Hi. Good to see you here." He must enjoy traveling so much.

"I was walking around, and found this place really beautiful. Would you know if there are lots or properties nearby up for sale?" Just exactly how rich is this man?

"You seriously need to stop impulsive buying. I'll introduce you to my financial advisor." Paolo answered and sat beside his brother.

"No need. I took some lessons on finance while in US. As much as possible, you have to invest on land cause its value is going up. You know as well. Let me know first, Klasy, if you're selling this resort in the future." His unending provoking on Klasy is getting on her nerves.

"That won't ever happen. Go find something else somewhere." She rolled her eyes then went to check on her other friends.

Charm Sy and Vince Oliver are among her closes friends. They are already in their rooms, so she went straight to the villa. She was assisted by one of the caretakers to tell her the preparations and the dishes for lunch.

"Thank you. We'll just wait for Rowy to arrive then we'll have lunch all together." Klasy smiled at her. She knocked twice on Vince's room and it wasn't long until he opened the door.

She immediately hugged him.

"I missed you!" She exclaimed as she threw himself to him. Aside from Paolo, he's the closest guy to her, and their relationship is pure platonic.

"Missed you too. Got so busy lately. How are you?" She pouted when she didn't receive the same energy from him.

"I'm fine. Got so busy lately as well. Thanks for coming today. Let's just wait for Rowy. Where's Charm?" Vince pointed to the door across the hall.

"I was going to visit you last week, but I got caught up in something. I went to Bicol for some family-related stuffs. You're losing weight, are you stressed or what?" He noticed right away.

"I'm purposely losing weight for the next runway."

"Okay. Is that necessary? You're guided by your coach, right?" He cares for her like a brother.

They were about to knock on Charm's door when a familiar voice ruled the hallway.

"This is gonna be my room, right?" It was Theo holding his travel bag and jacket. Klasy had to admit how dropdead gorgeous that man is. He's only wearing a white luxury brand V-neck shirt and khaki pants, but he's screaming charm. His long hair was tied to a bun which made him look hotter.

She gulped before answering the guy.

"You can take that room." She noticed it's opposite to hers, but since almost all rooms in the second floor are already occupied, she has to let him use that.

Instead of going in to the room, Theo went closer to them and gave Vince a hostile look.

"It's been a long time." Klasy looked at Vince too to see his expression. Do they know each other? But from the look in Vince's face, it appears like they do not have a smooth-sailing relationship.

"I heard you're back. Didn't know we'd cross paths again." Vince's jaw moved as if he's agonized by Theo's presence.

Klasy frowned when Theo spoke again in a provoking tone.

"Why didn't you expect that? We have lots of mutual friends, and..."

"Don't even hang out with him, Klasy. He's a dangerous guy. I didn't know why Paolo has to bring him here." Vince was not interested to hear whatever he has to say.

"I didn't know what happened between the two of you, but you better behave, Theo. You are Paolo's brother, but don't think that I can't kick you out of here as soon as you cause a mess." Klasy stepped to emphasize that she's not tolerating him causing a ruckus.

Theo was not a bit intimidated by Klasy. He looked her down in the eyes, and took the remaining steps to close the gap between them. He lowered his head so their eyes would be at the same level.

"You didn't even know what happened between us, but you are already siding that man. I'm not that bad of a person you're thinking, Klasy." His jaw moved as he looked at the man behind her.

"Don't tell her what to do around me." It's like a warning, and Klasy couldn't talk back. She just watched his back as he walked to his room.

Vince was in a bad mood the whole morning. As soon as Rowy arrived, they gathered in the nipa hut in the seashore to have lunch. Klasy way lowkey observing Theo's reaction around Vince. He's showing nothing but calmness.

The food was served, and the people around couldn't get more excited to take pictures. The place is i********:-worthy. The dishes look exquisite. Some are still taking pictures in the beach, but there's a few who are already sitting.

Paolo and Theo were approaching, and for some reason Klasy felt intimidated. She cursed in her head when she saw Theo's chest exposed. His polo shirt was open as if he's flaunting his abs. His hair is still tied in bun, he's looking really stunning in shades.

Theo's eyes looked for one person only. An automatic smile formed when he saw Klasy sitting in the nipa hut while talking with Rowy. He walked faster leaving Paolo and missing whatever he was saying just to take the vacant seat beside Klasy.

He is whipped for her. He finds her special, he loves the way she carries herself in every situation. He's been traveling the world, but he has never seen such beauty.

Klasy flinched when she saw in peripheral view that Theo took the seat beside her.

"It looks and smells appetizing." He commented to get her attention.

"You will enjoy the food here. We've been here couple of times and the chef never disappoints." Rowy answered. Paolo took a deep sigh when he joined them in the table.

"Are you enjoying the day?" Klasy gave a sweet smile to Paolo. It's her intention to ignore the guy beside her.

"Yes we're enjoying the view. So beautiful, every inch is picturesque," Theo leaned on the table blocking her view of Paolo. He wants her to look only at him.

Little did she know, she was blushing with that remark.

"Are you naturally this attention-seeker?" Everyone teased Theo when she asked that question. He just chuckled as if enjoying her savageness.

"Can't help it. I'm always the center of attention."

"Behave yourself. Can you move a little?" Paolo tried to fit himself betweek them, but Theo didn't give any space.

"Why are you trying to move so much in this little space? Can't we just eat?"

"Stop flirting!" Paolo's voice raised, but everyone knows he's just jealous.

"Everyone here is accusing me of doing something. Let's just eat." Theo removed his shade and took his phone to check something.

They called others who are still taking pictures of the sea. When they were already complete, they started enjoying the food.

"Why are you not eating?" Theo asked in a low tone.

"Mind your own business." Klasy answered as she raised her brow.

"You can try flirting with her, but your ego will be hurt." Rowy roasted him more.

"Keep that up, and this will be the last time you're joining our trip." Paolo said in a serious tone.

"You are all so protective. This is why she's single all her life." He only whispered the last sentence.

"Are you a stalker?" Klasy's face is burning. He even knew that.

"It's all over the internet. You can't call that stalking." She's a little flustered. She's never embarassed with that fact, but coming from Theo she felt really unattractive or intimidated. She's afraid he would think no one wants her or no one can tolerate her. She never needed that validation before, but this man is the first to make her feel she needed it.

"Shut up."

"Okay. But you asked me a question, so I answered." She rolled her eyes. He has answers for everything.

When she tried to reach for the water, Paolo assisted her, but he's too far that he had to stand just to fill her glass. Theo wouldn't budge from his position which is making it hard for Pao.

"Excuse me." Pao said trying to make Theo move, but he acted as if he didn't hear anything.

"What are we doing in the afternoon? Can we try paddleboarding or fly fish?" Only Theo was the first timer in that place.

"We can do that. You're fond of windsurfing, right? Sadly, you can't do that with the waves here." Rowy responded.

"Shall we play Uno, Klasy and Charm? I brought my guitar too. Want to hang out in our favorite place?" Vince seemed so uncomfortable with Theo's presence.

"I'd love that!" Rowy exclaimed.

"I'm down for that too. Suddenly, I'm having muscle cramps so I can't do water activities. I'm joining you!" Theo was purposely annoying him. She couldn't understand what's going on. She just knew there's tension between these two men.

"Ahm what about we play billiards, Theo?" Renz, Klasy's cousin, asked him. They were classmates before in elementary and they seemed to still have a good bond until now.

"Alright. I saw horses a while ago, can we try horseback riding too?"

"You can. We have 7 horses here, you just have to avoid Thirdy, Klasy's horse. Shall we go now? I'm going to show you the hall which I personally designed. We're holding events there..." Renz and Hosims took Theo out of the scene. They understand the situation, but Klasy couldn't. She's dying to ask Vince about it.

They separated to do their own things, and just agreed to meet in the outdoor dining area for dinner. Rowy decided to go with Paolo to go swimming. Charm and Vince are with Klasy in the rest area. Overlooking from there is the view of lake. It's their favorite place because they can just relax and enjoy the view doing whatever they want.

"So what's the tea?" Klasy asked straight.

"Theodore Callosi stole her ex-girlfriend. He was famous for being a playboy back in highschool. He gets everything he wants literally." Charm answered. Her jaw dropped.

"We went the same school but never heard of him. Was I too busy with academics and other stuffs to miss such thing?"

"You have your own world before. You were overachiever and only looking after yourself. You didn't even know what's happening around you. His name was the loudest in our batch."

"It's not just about that." Vince was trying to be defensive.

"Okay tell me." She sounded so interested and excited. She's taking interest now with that guy.

Vince took a deep sigh before giving out the Uno cards.

"He had to be number one all the time. He hated being second, so during our leadership campaign, he tried dirty tricks to defeat me. We were both running for president of student council. He provoked me until I couldn't take it. I just had to punch him in the face or I would have lost my mind."

"What did he do?"

"He linked my name to drugs." She gasped. Back in their days it was really a big deal. Many students got kicked out because of that issue.

"It was all framed up. Other issues were about plagiarizing and violating school rules. The worst I can remember was I saw him kissing my girlfriend..."

"Belle?" Klasy was really shocked.

"Yes. I took it really personal because she's also amy bestfriend since we're kids. He did everything to make me withdraw my candidacy. He played dirty and didn't set caught. That's how dangerous he was back then. Right now, I can't imagine his ways."

She took a deep sigh. She remembered Pao saying that he can be obsessive.

"He might have matured by now. He still owes you proper apology."

"Don't even get close to him. From how I see it, he's interested in you. Klasy, you don't deserve a man like him. He will use you for personal needs. Even Paolo can't stop him." She had goosebumps. To answer that statement, she let out a sarcastic laugh.

"His ways are not gonna work on me. I will keep rejecting him. You know my standards."

"Keep your word because I'm never supporting him for you."

"Me too. I know the guy and what he can do. He's not made for serious relationship so please don't even get involved with him." Even Charm was dead serious with that warning.
