CHAPTER 13 | Libby –––––––– The next morning, I get up even earlier than usual. There are the ponies to take care of and the barn to tidy up, and if Finn’s here by nine, that means I’ll need to shower and change and be back to the barn by 8:45 at the latest. Which means, naturally, he shows up at 8:40. I’m hustling down the stone path toward the barn when I see his car wind up our drive. He parks on the other side of my truck, making the Audi almost invisible from the house, and I slow, my heart squeezing and my breath rising in white puffs. He did that on purpose, I think.
