Chapter 13

Walking downstairs with this off the shoulder floral print slit maxi dress. I felt sexy as hell and I haven’t felt like that in a long time. When shawn and I first started dating he would take me out every night. But when guys kept looking at me. He stopped and would say the reason he wasn’t taking me out anymore is because fat people don’t deserve to be on his arms out in public. They deserve to be at home taking care of the kids. And my dumb ass was starting to believe him. He even stopped coming home.

“Damn” I heard a voice say. I turned around and Zeno was coming down the stairs. s**t, Zeno didn’t look bad himself. He was wearing a black floral suit. “You look good”

“Thank you”

“Damn I see you Sasha” Trey said coming downstairs after a few minutes after Zeno.

“Thank you. Both of you don’t look bad yourselves”

“Thank you” They both said

“Now where is Tanya’s ass. I knew her ass would be the last one down here. TANYA!!” Zeno yelled standing on the first step.

“I am coming Zeno damn” Tanya said walking downstairs. She was wearing a red deep v-neck backless mermaid dress.

“Damn” Trey said when he saw Tanya in her dress. He looked like a dog in heat.

“Ok trey pick your face off the floor, we got a party to get to. Plus Zeno has to pick up his date” I said walking towards the door, while trey helped Tanya down the stairs.

“My what? Oh s**t, yeah, your right. Let’s go. Get your asses in the limo.” While we were in the limo. I could feel someone watching me. When I locked eyes with Zeno, it was like I couldn’t breathe for a moment. Zeno is so sexy, his milk chocolate skin, his huge muscles. s**t I had to start fanning myself in the limo.

“Girl you ok” Tanya said looking at me.

“Yeah girl, it’s just hot in here” I said looking at Zeno. As we stop at Zeno dates house. He gets out the car to go get her.

“Hey, what’s up” Zeno’s date said getting in the limo.

“Hi” Tanya said rolling her eyes. The whole ride I kept thinking, damn why did I agree to coming to this party. I feel like such a third wheel.

Pulling up to the party. Man it was lit. They had led light balloons, of course the drinks were flowing in and he had gift bags for everyone. In the gift bags was two thousand dollars and the newest iPhone. Even though it Zeno birthday he would rather give away then receive.

“I’ll meet you at the VIP” I said to Tanya and trey walking inside. Cause I didn’t want to be the one walking in there with them by myself.

“Ok” Tanya said. I walked over to the VIP section, but when I looked to my left I saw my cousin alex talking to some guy. I wonder how she got here and she never called me and told me she was in town.

“Everyone put your hands together, for the birthday boy Zeno and his best friend Trey!!” Everyone started clapping and screaming their names. Zeno walked in with his date, trey and Tanya right behind them. Getting to the vip section, they let the ladies walk in first. After they sit down, the dj started playing Elle Mai boo’d up. That was me and Tanya’s jam. We went to the dance floor and starting twerking all over. Me and my b***h was f*****g it up.

After twerking to almost every song the dj played. The dj put on a slow jam. “Will you dance with me with me” Trey said to tanya while were walking back to our seats.

“Yes” She said getting a little teary eyed.

“Well if you need me I’ll be in the bathroom” I whispered to her. Walking over to the bathroom. I could hear some argument outside the door by the bathroom. But I had to pee so bad, I just ignored it and ran in. After getting out, I was bout to look for tanya on the dance floor. But the argument outside kept getting louder and louder. Turning around to look outside the door, I saw alex arguing with some guy. It wasn’t the same guy she was with earlier, but I couldn’t see who it was, he had his back turned. Not even thinking I run outside.

“Hey, What the hell is going on here!!” When he turned around, I could not breath. This mutherfucker has some nerve to be talking to my cousin like he don’t have no damn home training. Well, what am I saying he don’t have no damn home training.

“Sasha. What the hell are you doing here. And what do you have on. Looking like a f*****g w***e”

“I could be asking you the same thing Shawn. What the f**k are you and Alex arguing about?” Looking at alex, she looked shook up. “Alex are you ok? What’s going on.”

“Yeah, I am ok. I have..”

“Don’t be worried about her. What the f**k you doing here. Your not supposed to be here.” Shawn said cutting alex off. She was shacking, she usually does that when she is hiding a big secret from me. That’s why she always tells me big stuff on the phone instead in person. But when I ask her in person she changes the subject or leaves.

“Baby what is your baby daddy doing here” A guy said walking up to Alex. Look like the same guy I saw her with earlier. But when he said that. I started looking around like some stupid person.

“Wait, what in the hell did you just say” I said walking closer to Alex and the guy she was with. Minutes later Tanya, Zeno and trey ran out the door.

“Sasha what is going on” Tanya said I started taking my heels off, got in Alex face. “Alex, What the f**k did he just say” She stood there and didn’t say anything.

“You didn’t answer me Sasha” Shawn said walking towards me but Zeno stopped him.

“Shawn are you Sj’s dad”

“Sasha what….”

“Answer the f*****g question!!!! Be honest for f*****g once in your life” I said looking at shawn with zeno between us.

“Yess, I am sor…” I cut alex off by slapping the s**t out of her.

“ALL THAT I HAVE DONE FOR YOU. YOU MUTHERFUCKING SLUT.” I yelled while hitting her in the face. Trey was holding tanya. Zeno picked me up pulling me away from alex. Shawn started walking towards us, zeno pulled out his gun pointing it at shawn.

“I think you should leave. All of you.” Before shawn could say anything we heard shot firing inside the building. Alex and the guy she with ran, Shawn tries to walk toward me, zeno shoots shawn in the shoulder.

“One more step bruh and its your life.” Zeno said pointing the gun at shawn.

“This ain’t over Zeno. I’ll be seeing you soon. And sasha watch our daughter. She will need protection.” Shawn said slowly backing away. As he runs to his car, pulling off fast. A black truck pulls up right next to us.

“Ladies get in the truck, zeno and I will handle this. Will you both later” Trey said as he helped us in the truck. The driver speed off.

“What do you think he meant bout watch your daughter?” Tanya said  

“I don’t know, but I am getting a bad feeling” I said looking at tanya. And I think she was feeling the same way, cause next thing I knew.

“Driver change of plans” Tanya gave the driver the address to moms house. When we got to the house, my heart was racing. I just knew something had to be wrong. The door looked like someone had busted in.

“Mom, Mom.” I yelled running through the house. “Rain answer me!!!!”

“Oh my gosh if I lose momma I don’t know what I would do. I can’t lose momma and my baby rain.” Tanya cried sitting in a chair in the kitchen.

“Shut up we will find them” looking around I noticed that their was blood on the steps. I followed the drops of blood leading to rain’s bedroom. “Rain!!” When I walked in, I saw mom laying down with blood coming from her shoulder and stomach. “Mom, mom answer me, please.” I said with tears coming down. She was passed out by rain bed. I could feel her still breathing but she wasn’t saying anything. “Tanya, call 911. Hurry.” I could hear Tanya running up the stairs while on the phone with the 911 operator. She gave them the address and hung up the phone. A few moments later, they carried mom out the door. As I watched them carry my mom out, I realized I am done with people betraying my niceness for weakness. I am done playing these games. Now it was time for me to finish the mission we were supposed to finish.

“Tanya since your pregnant, you need to sit this one out. I have had enough of the bullshit.” Tanya looked at me.

“I don’t give about wat you say. I am ride or die for life boo.”

“I know but your not putting my baby in harms way” I said

“Who said I was. I texted trey, 911 page. He is on the way. Your not doing this on your own. And I am not losing you. We ride together like two smoking guns. It’s time he know who the real ghost girls are” Tanya said

“Damn right. Time to kill him and his son”
