The girl gripped my hair so hard, that I felt my scalp hurting bad. What was worse was the fact that other people just stood to watch without attempting to help her. She felt anger rushing from her veins to her head and just as she was about to retaliate, she heard a very tough, rough, raw, and manly voice speak harshly.
“Let go of her NOW” The man spoke and instantly, the girl let go of my hair. I fell to the ground as I felt pain in my head. I stayed there for a moment before I heard the voice speak again
“Are you ok? Do you need any help?” The man spoke as he offered his hand to me.
I finally lifted my head to see who saved me and as soon as I saw him, I felt butterfly dancing in my belly. I felt my heart thumping very hard as I just stared at his face. This man was divinely built. Chestnut brown hair styled neatly to the back with gel. Eyebrows thick I want to run my hands across it. His lashes were long and curvy and my gaze moved further down as I stared at his straight nose and then to his heart-shaped thin lips. He looked so breathtaking and I could not stop my heart from beating so wildly in my chest.
“Uhm, hello miss?” the man said after not hearing a reply from me.
I quickly composed myself after being aware of the fact that I messed up, big time. I took his hands and oh gods, I wanted to yank my hands back as soon as our hands touched as I felt an electric spark at the contact.
“I am f..fi..fine, thank you very much for saving me” I finally replied as I stared at the young man in front of me with sparkles obvious in my eyes.
“Ok then, but you should be more careful next time. I might not be there to save you” The young man said with real concern evident in his eyes and with just one look, one would know that was all to it, no ulterior motive was seen in his eyes.
But I was lost in those eyes and I could not help but see something totally different in them. Something that would make one fall in love at first sight and oh gods, she was a victim.
“Hi, Are you Nora Claude?” A thick female voice spoke behind me and I quickly composed myself and turned around to face the owner of the voice.
“Yes I am” I said while gazing at the person standing in front of me
“Well, I am Mrs Joanna, I am your mother’s friend and a lecturer in this school. She told me you would be resuming today, mind if I show you around?” The lady spoke as she gave me a small smile.
I walked closely behind her. She kept on lecturing me about how good their school were. About how good she was as a lecturer and I felt bored so soon.
My eyes looked closely around as I was truly amazed with the structure of the school. It was so modern and extravagant.
“This would be your first class” The lady spoke as she stopped at one door.
“I would come over soon so that you could start your registration, in the meantime, have fun” The lady said to me, nodding a little at the lecturer before leaving.
My social anxiety piqued up as I stepped into the lecture hall. Unlike other colleges, this particular college was a very expensive one. And only the children of the social elites could gain admission into this school. I wonder how my father got me into the school. So, because of that, the students in each class very very few.
I stared at everyone and I felt like digging a hole into the ground and burying myself in it. I looked up at the lecturer who had his back facing us. He suddenly turned back and I was awestruck one more time.
My handsome prince was my lecturer? I was lost in thoughts that I did not hear him calling me.
“Miss?” Ronan asked once again when he got no reply.
“So handsome” I said and I quickly covered my mouth just as the words left them. My eyes went wide as saucers as I thought within me
‘What did I just say?’
“So your name is handsome?” Ronan asked back staring at her confusedly and suddenly, everyone started laughing.
I have never felt this embarrassed in my entire life. I just bowed my head down, trying to avoid the shame that had already washed me from my head to my feet.
Just one look from Ronan was enough to stop everyone from laughing and the room went back to being quiet one more time.
“Miss, what is your name?” Ronan asked once more, this time, more seriously and I looked up to him, staring at his eyes and I felt a wave of confidence wash over me when I saw the sincerity in his eyes; void of envy, hate, mockery or jealousy.
“Nora, Nora Claude sir” I said boldly this time as my voice echoed throughout the hall”.
“Ok, welcome to college Nora, please have a seat” Ronan said as he smiled at me.
I saw an empty spot and I walked towards it and I felt my handsome’s prince eyes follow me all the way to my seat.
“Now, what is social conflict?” Ronan asked as he started his lecture.
