Prologue

“Hmmm…”              I moaned beneath the soft lips caressing mine. I close my eyes as it suddenly felt heavy with the electrifying sensation crawling over my skin and into my whole being. I can taste the bittersweet flavor of the wine he had as our tongue fought hungrily for control. As inexperienced as I am, I can’t keep up with him. He continues to suck and nip, tease and move in ease as he angled my head to deepen the kiss. His overly familiar masculine scent now laced with his undeniable arousal made my heart beat faster. I feel as if my tummy is tied in a knot. Like there are butterflies flying inside my stomach.             So this is how it feels…             I don’t know how long we’ve been on it, but none of us wants to let go. If not for the feeling of drowning because of lack of oxygen, we probably won’t. I suck the air deeply once he pulled away. My chest heaved and so did he, but our eyes stayed locked with each other’s even when the fireworks light up the sky. I watch as the different colors reflect on his green orbs; how his eyes reflected emotions I’ve never seen before.             He lifts his hand and his thumb brushes over my still swollen lips. I jump at my feet, surprised with the warmth of his skin to mine, but I didn’t move away; I couldn’t. Everything seems surreal.             This isn’t a dream, right? I thought as the heat from his caress spread all over my face.             “S-Sean… is it really you?” I reached out to him but hesitated at the last minute.             He didn’t answer but his lopsided grin, the kind that made my knees melt effortlessly confirmed that it was him.              “It’s alpha, Sean, now. Happy New Year, Felicity.”
