“House, I need a map of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.” A map appeared on the wall. I left Rhett’s embrace, walked over to it, grabbed a marker, and pinpointed where Katherine’s Pizza was. “I flew over here and went over the pack house.”
I drew a line to the pack house. “Then I flew over three roads and made a few turns. This was the last road I passed. I flew a long way with no landscape markers. But I think this is the general area we need to look.” I circled a wide area of forest on the map that was near Lake Tahoe.
“Are you sure you don’t want a minute?” He opened the basement door and let the fresh air in. My stomach was upset and making weird noises. Plus, my mouth tasted like rotten eggs. I can rest when I’m done.
