Lily and I had lunch, and I made sure to feed Jackson as well. While the three of us were in the dining room eating, the wolves came inside and switched places with another group. Once they were all outside, and the portal door and sliding door were closed, the three of us headed upstairs.
Lily hopped and skipped ahead of us into my study, where the bookshelves were full.
“Aren’t there any new books that could be up here? House must know what I’m looking for.” I ran a hand over the spines of the books along the shelf. I need the necromancy book. House normally shows me what I need by now. I’ve been looking for this thing for days.
“Maybe it isn’t here?” Lily asked and looked at the books with her hands behind her back.
