“Lily, would you like to join me downstairs in the potion room?”
“Are you doing magic stuff?” Her eyes grew wide, and she grinned from ear to ear.
“We’re going to finish Rhett’s potion today.”
The three of us went downstairs, me, Lily, and Jackson. I wanted to tell him that he could wait outside of the basement, but I knew it was unreasonable. He’d be outside in the cold, and it’s not like he’d take up a lot of space in the basement.
I closed the door behind us and he found an empty corner of the room and flopped onto the ground.
“Can I pet you?” Lily followed him, stopped a few feet away. I went over to the stand where the grimoire was,
