“Let’s head over there.” I wish it was bigger.
“Thank you for doing this. We’ve been looking for work, and somewhere to move with the kids. But it’s been hard.” The mother said. What was her name? Martha? Mary? D*mn it, I can’t remember.
“We don’t get much sleep. It’s loud in the house with everyone inside. The kids don’t sleep well.” Her mate said. He was a big man with a soft face. He’s David. I’m sure. Or was it Danny? Anxiety pooled in the pit of my stomach. I hope they don’t think I’m disrespectful if I forgot.
“I hope this helps. Jackson told me there’s a problem with transportation. He’s working on figuring that out, so people can drive to work. This cabin is the biggest, but I’m afraid it only has four rooms. But they’re large rooms.” I smiled and hoped it would be enough.
