Jackson grimaced. It must’ve been badly damaged by the venom. I nodded, and he left. I didn’t like him, but losing his arm? I shuddered at the thought and was thankful my leg had only been injured.
I flexed my toes. My leg was stiff from running all night, and the muscles ached. I thought it was healed. It hadn’t hurt since going to the hot springs. I stretched out my leg, trying to relieve the tension. It took a while for it to hurt again, and I pushed it hard.
