Full Moon: Wolf Is Coming

CHAPTER XI The Storm

2 months past and there was still no sign of Mike and Tom. Police, doctors and parents came and went from the school but none was able to do anything or so the students thought. The hope that they are getting things in line soon started to fade and "Brunt's Boarding House" now was filled with sad faces and a feeling of depression.

In astronomy class before Mr. Mikael came in Lyanna decided to tell everyone who was there about the gargoyles.

"Everyone, can I have your attention? I think it's time we know what happened to Tom and Mike because every grown up in here knows it and they have kept it a secret from us."-she said standing in front of everyone. "These attacks, aren't just attacks, they are attacks from dangerous creatures of the night called gargoyles. One student is turned to stone and another is missing. How much longer until that happens again with one of us?"

"Lyanna what are you doing."-whispered Chloe.

"They need to know the truth. It's been 2 months now."-Lyanna replied.

"If that is true than this is madness, they can't keep us here."-a boy from the back shouted and many agreed.

Mr. Mikael heard them in the hallway and when he came in he was accompanied by headmaster Charles.

"This has happened before in our school. There creatures, dark creatures, they're called gargoyles. I'm sure you have all seen the statues in the garden, gargoyles look like that. We are doing all we can to track him, not just the school, but the whole UCR."-explained Charles as they entered.

"Sir? Why aren't we sent home than? Since it is not safe here."-asked Harry.

"Because Mr. Salvador this school is the safest place now"-answered Mr. Mikael "And now let's get back to where we left last week."-and just like that Charles left too. They said no more information than Lyanna.

Lyanna found it a real bore talking about other realms and planets, but Chloe made her a sign to concentrate and so Lyanna turned to Mr. Mikael and started listening. Finally, when the bell rang Lyanna, Harry, Chloe and Leah ran to the common room. From now on there were in.

A few hours of silence passed when Angelica came rushing in with a sincere smile on her faces. She went in the middle of Common room and said:

"Everybody, I have great news. Tom woke up earlier and Ms. Osborn said that he'll be here in a bit."

Everyone was happy to hear the news and they all helped clean up the place so that when Tom arrives he'll feel good. That afternoon Tom came in and all the Tigers started cheering with smiles on their faces. Lyanna noticed that Tom was red and there was still stone dust on his clothes and hair. It didn't take long 'till questions started being asked:

"Did you saw what attacked you?"-a boy asked.

"What about that poor boy Mike were you with him?"-a girl asked.

"I'm sorry! I don't remember anything, but Ms. Osborne said if I rest I might remember something."

Right after that a big storm started immediately. With thunders and lightings.

"Gather around guys!"-said Tom sitting in the couch, after seeing some scared faces "Let's see if they found something new."

Everyone sat in half circle and Leah turned on the TV.

"The news from Brunt's Boarding House are terrifying everyone."-the lady in news said. "Luckily one of the boys woke up this morning and is now ok. We are waiting for the school staff and police to give us more information, until then we can hope that this will be dealt with. This is all we have from Brunt Boarding House now lets' get to the dog named Max..."

"What happened?"-Tom asked.

"The electricity fell down. It must be the storm."-said James.

"Where did they found that picture of me? I looked awful."-Tom said.

"But, I want to know what Max did."-said a girl in 2nd year making everyone laugh.

"All right, to bed now! Everyone!"-ordered Angelica.

The next day while eating breakfast Chloe said to Lyanna:

"It's Full Moon tonight"

"Yes, I know"-she answered looking at her plate.

"Is everything ok, Lyanna?"-asked Leah worried.

"Yes, yes I'm fine."

"You can tell us everything Lyanna, you know that right?"-said Harry.

Lyanna saw that she couldn't hide anything from them so she explained herself:

"I was thinking about all that has happened here. What I've lived for 4 months I haven't lived for 13 years. I mean I met you guys, I even found my real brother, I'm not talking to Ethan, it doesn't hurt when I turn, tonight is my third time that I turn in this school and this whole gargoyle stuff. "

Then they realized how empty the hall was. Almost everyone had gone home. It was just them, the teachers and Ethan with his friends Tessa and Nik. Who were now coming towards Lyanna, Harry, Chloe and Leah.

"Got nowhere to go wolfgirf?"-said Ethan behind Lyanna.

"What are you talking about, twinkle toe?"-said Lyanna turning around all red from anger.

"Didn't they tell you?"-Tessa asked faking to be sad.

"You can no longer stay in our home."-said Ethan with that terrible smirk on his face.

"No. They would never do this to me."-Lyanna said shaking.

"Oh, but they did. Have fun finding a place to stay."-said Ethan and turned around followed by Nik and Tessa. Leaving the three of them started laughing.

Lyanna sat down, she couldn't breathe. It felt like she forgot how to breathe. She saw Leah's' lips moving but couldn't tell what she said. Same thing with Chloe and then she blacked out. Lyanna woke up in the nursery, her friends and Ms. Osborne were standing close to her. When Ms. Osborne saw that Lyanna had woken up she helped her get comfortable and said:

"It was just a panic attack. Nothing to worry about. Just rest a bit and you'll feel much better."

"Thank you Ms. Osborne"-whispered Lyanna.

When Ms. Osborne left a man asked:

"How are you doing Lyanna?" When Lyanna turned to see she saw prof. John.

"Better, sir, thank you."-she replied.

"What happened?"-asked prof. John calmly.

"I had a panic attack, sir."

"Do you want to talk to someone about why it happened?"

"No, sir, thank you"-said Lyanna, however her thoughts were a little bit different. "TALK ABOUT IT. HOW DO YOU TALK ABOUT YOUR SO CALLED MUM AND DAD DON'T WANT YOU HOME AND YOU HAVE NOWHERE TO GO AND YOU LEARN ALL THIS BY A BOY YOU USED TO CALL BROTHER WHO IS NOW SO MEAN TO YOU AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHY!"

"All right then. I'll see you tonight."-said prof. John.

As soon as he left Lyanna burst into tears.

"Hey, hey it's ok. If this is about what Ethan said, he was probably just bluffing to mess with you."-said Chloe trying to calm her down.

"I don't think he was bluffing."-said Lyanna through tears.

"Lets' find out then."-said Harry putting his hand awkwardly on Lyanna's shoulder. Lyanna looked up at him confused. -"Lets' call your mum or dad."-he explained.

And that is what they did. They went to the common room and Lyanna called her mom. In the fireplace she put some fairy dust and called Catherine's name three times. Catherine appeared inside the flames.

"Hi, mum"-said Lyanna shaking.

"Mum? You dare call me that after what you did to my son."-said Catherine with fury.

"What? I don't understand"-said Lyanna confused.

"Oh, you know so well what you did. If I ever see your eyes again I promise you will regret everything!"

And then she disappeared. Lyanna turned to her friends and asked:

"What did I do?"

"You've done nothing Lyanna?"-said Harry "Probably Ethan lied to them."

"Well, if it would be like that I'd still have a mom, a dad and a brother!"-said Lyanna with anger. "Now at least we know Ethan wasn't bluffing. Do you really think he'd do that?"

"You do have a mum and dad Lyanna."-said Harry to trying to make her feel better but it only made things worst.

"Do I? Have you told them yet? Besides even if you did they abandon me once why not do it again?"-she replied with anger. Harry didn't know what to say, in fact neither did Leah or Chloe who always said things to ease the tension and make things better. After a long deadly silence where everyone just stared at each-other Chloe said.

"Lyanna why don't we try to forget this and when they come back we will clear some things out. Besides there is no need to be sad or angry at things you can't control now"-said Chloe with a nice smile on her face.

"You're right."-said Lyanna wiping her tears, she looked at the window and said: "It's getting late, I should go down."-and left.

Down at the basement prof. John was waiting as always.

"Are you ready Lyanna?"-he asked nicely.

"Yes, sir"

"Let's go."

In the basement he shook the chains around Lyanna's wrists and ankle.

"I will be back later"-said prof. John closing the door.

"Here we go again"-thought Lyanna.

There it was black veins, broken bones, dying screams, glowing blue eyes. This time it lasted much more and it was much more painful than any other time she had turned. When it ended a beautiful grey wolf took Lyanna's place. Its' fur shined underneath the moon light and its' glowing blue eyes glow even more. It didn't take much for her to transform back. Lyanna got on her feet as prof. John came in.

"How are you back so early?"-he asked.

"I controlled it. I didn't want to stay a wolf anymore so I changed back."

"When did you learn that?"

"Just now"-she answered simply.

"Wow! Great! That's awesome! Lets' go to now; this place is dark don't you think?"- said prof. John smiling as he was so happy for Lyanna.

"Umm, sir, I don't really know dark. Another thing for being a wolf."-moving her head a bit.

Prof. John inhaled deeply and said:

"Right."

At the top of the stairs in first floor John greeted Lyanna and went home for holiday as Lyanna went in the common room.

"You're back!"-yelled Leah when she saw Lyanna.

"How are you back?"-Harry asked surprised.

"I finished it. I didn't want to be a wolf any longer so I changed back."-explained Lyanna. "Now it seems I can control it."

"You did it?"-asked Harry, Chloe and Leah together so happy.

"Yeah I did it."

"That's great. Lets' celebrate"-said Leah.

"You guys have fun. I'll go to sleep."-said Lyanna yawning.

"Buuu. Boring! Come on we have the whole school to ourselves lets' do something fun."-said Chloe with her thumbs down.

"I know, but I am so exhausted and I really need some sleep. Besides we have the school to ourselves for 2 other weeks."-said Lyanna.

"Fine. Get some rest because tomorrow night we aren't sleeping"-said Harry.

"I like that. Al right, good night!"

"Nice dreams sleepy head"-said Chloe behind Lyanna.
