Tarukas's POV
"Taru-taru!!! Get your things. We're good to go" that's one thing I am confused at. We're always out early at work everytime the day of October 6th came. It's there something going on with that date? I don't really know.
"I'll just fix my things. You can wait for me in the lobby" I said, I don't know why am I grumpy and didn't have the energy when it's October 6th. It seems like, I am always not in the mood.
"Tsk. Do it fast, hmm? We can't be late. I also called Crest. That b***h, she said Canada bores her so she went home. I don't know if it's her vacation or what. Anyway, be fast, anytime your tardiness will kicked in" she said and left the office. I heaved a sigh and stared at nothing particular. What is the sole reason why are we out early at work that it seems for me that October 6t is our day off.
I ignored her and just fix my things. You know how her mouth runs sometimes. That Harukalet, her tongue can be sharp than usual. Sharper than a real sharp knife. And you know, I love to tease her that she is a curse incarnate.
I saw Haruka with Crest who seems to be going in a funeral because of her all-black outfit, a black dress, a black heels and a black ribbon on her head. Crestvania Arquezanda. Only child of tito Crest Arquezanda and tita Irvania Arquezanda. It was clear enough to know where her name comes from.
"Look who's here. The bitchy girl Crestvania" I playfull said. They both glanced at me. She raised her brows at me. "And here comes the bully girl of the town" I rolled my eyes. Bully?
"Just verbally" I said and flipped my waist-length hair with a blue highlight.
"You really did act your title in high school, do you?" Harukalet asked with her eyebrows, raised. I rolled my eyes again. Look who's talking.
"I'm not like you. You did act like your curse face". Since we were only in high school back then, what we do is still a bit silly. If Crest bitching out all the people she will meet, Haruka who uses her cursed face just to command someone, and I, who talks bad words at you before I will let you go out of my face. We really has a bad behaviour back then.
"If my tongue is sharp, yours is worse. I guess your tongue is sharp enough, do you know that?" she asked me. I don't think I will get tired of rolling my eyeballs. They are round so it is easy to rotate. As long as they don't get stuck on one side or else, I will actually have an eye transplant. I think I am rich enough to do that. Geez! What am I thinking? This is crazy.
"Let's go. It's so hot in here! Philippines will never change, it will stay the same" we both looked Crest who keeps on fanning herself with her hands. She seems to bath in sweat. What do you expect? She's just here in a day. She would really sweat because of the hot weather.
"Don't be such a picky. As if you haven't experience to be in the middle of the sun in our school's oval in 5 straight hours" Haruka said, waving her hands to make some sense.
"Yeah. I do remember that. That teacher is really terror" I said when I remembered we we're left alone in the middle of the oval and the sunrays were on us, directly. I think, it's one in the afternoon. And because we're still young back then, we made fun on her, our terror teacher which cause us to burnt our skin. We really want to strangle her after what happened but I realized, she's old enough and it will cause her a heart attack. Though, we wreck her car.
"Let's go, don't let us remember that teacher again, though I still want to strangle her to death. But I think, she'll likely have a heart attack if I will" we laughed on that. Geez! We're so cruel back then. Good thing, we matured enough when we went to college. It was hard. College life was really hard. It was on our genes that we are a genius, we passed all our courses and the board exam. Proud to be us, hahhah.
We drove our own cars to our picnic place. It's been three years. We go to a picnic every October 6th. It was like our bonding tine. Though, there are still somq questions in my head, I pushed it away. I have no time to waste, to drowned myself with that.
When we reached our destination, ai went out of my car. "Help me put thise down" we walked towards Crest's car. She really did prepared all these. Sometimes, it was Haruka who will preoare all our things needed on our picnic day. Me? Nah, you can't expect me to do those things. I'm not in the mood, always.
"Did you bring your extra shirts?" Crest asked us. We looked at each other, uh, I think I have shirts left in my car. I don't know about Haruka.
"Of course! Like duh? I can't let myself forget about it. I want to bath in a river not far from here, it's hot in the Philippines!" she said and fanned herself with her hands.
"Bet you get your luggage again this time? May I see?" Crest said, she walked her way towards Haruka's car. Last year, she did get her big luggage and slept here. And because she have this craziness on her, she pulled us two to sleep with her. Ending? We woke up with a plenty mosquito bites on our arms.
"Nope. We won't sleep here because I have somewhere in mind" she said and went at the side to fix our things. I glanced at Crest who shouted Haruka's name. We heard a laugh from Haruka. I asked Crest why did she shout? I faced palm when I heard her reason.
"What? A duffel bag?!" I asked. She didn't get her luggage but instead a duffel bag? But it's still as big as a luggage!
"Hey! Don't panic! We're not here to sleep. We will be going to CnGray's house nearby" our jaw dropped with what we hearf from her. What did she say? CnGray?! As in, my boss in the company? That jerk of a boss? Crest and I exchanged looks. Same with me, she can't believe we were going to sleepover in a guy's house.
"She's crazy" she shooked her head and went beside Haruka. Great! We'll likely have a diabetes. Knowing those two, they will really going to be as sweet as sugar when there's no work. When they are in work, they will act as if they are stranger to each other. That's why I always tease them, make fun of them if I am ordered at. I will really make them together in one place so I don't need to follow my boss's orders. Yes, that's how lazy I am when tardiness kicked me.
I shooked my head and went inside my car. I feel so sticky. Looks like I wanna have a bath on a river not far fron here as Haruka have said a whle ago. When I reached my towel, I went outside. But I stopped mid-tracks when I saw something shine under the dashboard of my car. I reached for it and a bracelet flashed in my eyes. A simple silver bracelet but when I stared more at the bracelet, I saw a name. How did it gets here? Did he left it in here?
I went in the middle Crest and Haruka and asked. I saw them talk in a serious manner. I also heard the talked about him, his name was on the bracelet I've found on my car. But they stopped talking when they saw me approaching them.
"Hey, why is it here? This is my gift for him right? I don't remember he left it inside my car. Do you know why?" I asked them. They went still. Uh, did I say something wrong?
"Uh, who did you gave that beacelet? Looks like you have something to tell us, huh? Who's that?" Haruka asked me but my brows furrowed more. They don't know him? But I told them who he is a long time ago. They forgot about it?
They looked like they just went out in the freezer, cold and stilled. Why would they be? They know him! I'm sure of it.
