Chapter Nine

Bella

"Can you believe this?" I heard Tiana ask "I can't" I heard Lucy answer Tiana "Guy's would you stop" I groaned "Oh you're awake. Come on, get dressed because we're going to be late" Tiana said "Late for what?" I ask confused

"Oh, mum made plans with Sandra and the boys for us to go to some picnic thing" Lucy said "Wait, Aunt Carrie doesn't have a shift in the hospital?" I ask confused "Ya she has, but for some reason, she cancelled all her shifts" Tiana said

"I can't believe she said that the picnic thing with Sandra and the boys is more important than her job" Lucy said. "Where is that picnic thing?" I ask "We'll be going to the park" Tiana said "When I asked mum she said that this is some kind of a surprise plan" Tiana said

That's when it hit me, last week Aunt Carrie said she had a small surprise plan for me. So is that what she meant by surprise plan?

For some reason, I wasn't upset or nervous about sitting in the same room as Christopher. I think that talk I did with Aunt Carrie helped a lot.

"Guys, leave the room so I can change" I said and with that, both of them left and went downstairs.

I ran to my bathroom, washed my face and brushed my teeth. I went back to my room and opened my closet. I wanted to wear something comfortable and soft at the same time so I won't sweat since for some reason the snowy winter changed to a hot, sweaty summer.

"Got it" I said the moment I found a nice outfit that Tiana and Lucy got for me a couple of months back, but of course me being stubborn I didn't wear it, but well I think it's time for it

I got dressed and looked at myself in the mirror. I was wearing a white crop top, pink skirt, jean jacket, white low converse and matched the whole outfit with a small black bag. I opened my hair and placed it on my right shoulder.

Right before I could leave my room I made sure to stuff my phone, headphones and purse in the bag. I took a deep breath and went downstairs

"I know" I heard Aunt Carrie saying and then Sandra laughing. "I'm ready" I yelled and entered the living room finding Aunt Carrie, Sandra, Lucy, Tiana, Adam, Seth and Christopher sitting and talking together.

"Oh my god. Is that really Bella?" Lucy said the moment she saw me "Ha-ha, very funny" I said rolling my eyes

"Good morning Bella" Sandra greeted "Morning Sandra" I greeted her back with a smile "Are we going to the start with the whole trip because I sure didn't wake up seven in the morning for nothing..... And not to mention that it's holidays" I said

"And I didn't have a good sleep" Christopher whispered mostly to his self

Of course, he wouldn't have a good night sleep. This past week he would come everyday drank and end up sleeping with a girl and of course I get to hear the whole thing since his window is always opened. For some reason.

"Kids, Sandra and I will be back" Aunt Carrie announced, taking Sandra's hand and left. "So why didn't you sleep well?" Lucy asked Christopher, but before he could answer the doorbell rang "Who would be coming now?" I ask confused

"I don't know" Lucy said "I'll go get it" I announce before leaving the room "Be care full we don't want the person who's outside to kidnap you, I mean I would because you look smokin' girl" Tiana yelled and I roll my eyes smiling

"Aunt Carrie did you call someone to come know?" I ask her "Ya, I called the company to fix the kitchen lights" she said and I nod my head. I walk towards the front door and open it, in front of me was a man from the company, he was wearing a hat that was covering his face, I pointed towards the kitchen and he nodded still hiding his head with the hat.

I followed the man, but somehow he looked familiar. So familiar.

"Fix the bulbs that are over there" I said pointing at the right side of the kitchen, he nodded and picked up his tools, I was about to turn around and leave until the man laughed.

And then I froze.

It can't be.

He's gone. He has been for two months.

I turn around and faced him, still frozen "Long time no see" he said with a smirk "W-what a...are you doing here?" I ask trying not to show myself weak in front of him "Bella Bella Bella, didn't you miss me. Because I sure did" he said walking towards me

"If you take another step, I swear I'll scream and let everyone come here" I said "Look Bella, I won't hurt you here, and both of us know that you won't scream. I'll leave but five minutes later you'll call me and we'll discuss where to meet and if you don't, say goodbye to your little family" he said and with that, he left.

I took a deep breath. Do I call him?

You have to call him, or else everyone is going to get hurt

Why did he come back know? God, first Christopher now him.

You have to go. You don't want to be the reason for another death. I think you regret your mother's death, don't let him repeat it again.

I'll call him. But he said after five minutes.

I ran upstairs to my room changed my clothes and wore a black shirt, black jeans matching it with my black converse. I pulled my hair up in a ponytail and made sure to hide my gun in the waistband of my jeans. I took my phone and placed it in the back pocket.

After checking on myself one last time, I ran downstairs to the living room finding Christopher, Adam, Seth, Lucy and Tiana sitting awkwardly doing nothing

"Wow, why did you change?" Lucy asked "Uh, nothing, I didn't umm feel comfortable" I answered back while avoiding eye contact

I sat down beside Tiana, feeling nervous "So, what's with all the black?" Seth asked surprising me "Ah I thought that I= I looked good in black" I answer him "Bella what's that under your shirt?" Tiana asked trying to touch the gun but I stand up as fast as I can before she could reach it.

"It's nothing I........" but before I could complete the lie, my phone rang. I jumped out of my place "God relax, that's your phone. Jeez, what happened to you?" Lucy asked laughing and I laugh nervously with her.

I take a deep breath and look at the caller's name.

Collins

"Who is it?" Adam asked and I look at him, raising an eyebrow "What? I'm just asking because you've been staring at your phone the past five minutes" Adam explained and I just nod my head. I press answer

"And here I thought you'd never answer" Collins said "Ah, ya I did" I answer nervously when I notice all them looking at me "I want you to meet me in the old industries area. The second building. You have exactly ten minutes" he said ending the call

"Who was it?" Tiana asked "Umm, nobody" I answered "Come on, who was it?" Lucy asks "Guys. I'll meet you later, I-I have to check on something" I said hesitantly and walked out of the house

I took the motorcycle that Markus got us and left.

After ten minutes exactly I was standing right in front of the building. I made sure no one from his new men saw me, apparently, he got five new men since I shot his last five men, the last time we fought.

I walked towards my motorcycle but stopped when something got my attention.

A gun.

Seriously. Collins and his men need to be good with hiding their extra guns. I took the gun and hid my own gun in the front pocket of my pants.

I put the extra bullets in the gun that I found and took a deep breath
