The hallway was empty. It was just me and the photographs of dead classmates. Elton’s deep blue eyes shone out. The photographer hadn’t let him wear his glasses and I could see them clearly. I was trying to hold myself together. Some sick part of my mind told me I should be happy. I didn’t have to try to get him to reject me now. The mate I never wanted was gone. I didn’t feel any sort of relief. He should’ve had a long and happy life. He deserved it after all the ѕhit he went through. “I’m sorry, Elton. I’m sorry I wasn’t there to help you. I’m sorry I never stopped Axel. I’m sorry I never asked you if you were alright.
