The return trip didn’t take nearly as long as the original. We took turns carrying Josh and ran at Teddi’s pace. We ended up having to take only three meal breaks and one sleeping break in order to get everyone safely back to where we entered the fae realm. It was obvious that the spirit of the fae realm was with us. Things went smoothly. My nerves were going insane the whole way. A feeling that things were going too smoothly struck me. Gaela assured me that the fae realm helps people to get home faster once they finish a quest. It might not be faster in the human world, but it will be in the fae realm.
