Second Night – Hidden Desires Unfold

1235 Words
That night was different. Arav was lying on his bed in his hostel room, restless. His heart was still carrying the echoes of their first night’s long conversation. He kept replaying Ishika’s laugh, her soft voice, and the way she shared her life with him. It felt like his dry soul had suddenly tasted the sweetness of rain. And just when the clock struck 11, his phone lit up. Ishika calling… Arav’s hands trembled as he picked up. “Hello…” his voice was low, careful, as if protecting a fragile dream. “Hi, Arav… not sleeping yet?” Ishika’s tone carried a playful warmth. “Sleep? How could I? I’ve been waiting for your call… every minute felt like an hour.” Ishika smiled softly on the other side. “You’re crazy. But… I like this madness of yours.” Silence stretched between them for a few seconds. Not awkward silence, but the kind where hearts spoke louder than words. --- Confessions Begin Ishika broke the silence. “Arav… tell me something. Have you ever liked anyone? Or… maybe fallen in love?” Arav chuckled nervously. “If I say yes, will you believe me?” “I’ll believe if your heart says so,” she whispered. Arav’s throat tightened. He wanted to scream that she was the one, but he held it back. Instead, he chose a safer path. “I always dreamt of a girl… someone elegant, someone classy, yet soft. A woman who isn’t just beautiful outside but carries dreams in her eyes. A girl whose every movement, every smile makes me forget the world. For me… that would be the perfect dream girl.” Ishika’s heart skipped. She knew somewhere he was pointing at her, but she didn’t push him. Instead, she asked, teasingly, “So… where did you see this dream girl? In your university? Or maybe in those rich parties?” Arav’s lips curled into a secret smile. “No… I saw her in a village… sitting beside me in a car. Wearing a saree… looking like a queen.” Ishika’s cheeks flushed red. She quickly tried to cover her emotions. “Stop it, Arav. You’re too young to flatter like this.” But deep inside, she loved every word. --- The First Look – Detailed Arav’s voice grew huskier, more honest. “Do you know what happened when I first saw you, Ishika?” “What?” she asked, holding her breath. “My eyes… they betrayed me. They didn’t stop at your face. First, they caught the sparkle in your eyes, but then… they slowly moved. Your lips, your neck… the way your saree hugged your body. I couldn’t stop myself from noticing the curve of your waist, the grace of your hips… the softness hidden under that blouse. And when I saw that small glimpse of skin between your saree and blouse—the navel—believe me, I felt something electric rush through me. I never felt like that before. It was like God had carved you as a piece of art, Ishika.” Ishika gasped softly, her fingers clutching her saree pallu even though he wasn’t there to see. She whispered, “Arav… you shouldn’t say all this.” “But it’s the truth,” Arav replied firmly. “I don’t want to hide it.” --- Ishika’s Painful Truth Ishika closed her eyes, fighting her emotions. “You know, Arav… everyone who ever came close to me, all they wanted was my body. No one ever asked me what I wanted, what I liked, what I dreamed of. My desires, my choices… nobody cared. They only saw me as a woman to be possessed, not a soul to be understood.” Her voice cracked. “But you… for the first time, someone tried to understand me. You didn’t just touch my skin… you touched my soul.” Arav’s heart ached hearing her pain. “Ishika… I promise, I will never see you the way others did. For me, you are not just desire… you are everything.” --- Promises Under the Moonlight Both grew quiet, feeling the intensity of their bond. Arav finally whispered, “Let’s promise each other something tonight.” “What?” “That no matter what happens, we will always respect each other’s feelings, desires, and needs. We will never misuse this bond.” “I promise,” Ishika replied firmly. “But one more thing—let’s also promise that we will never let our desires blind us to our emotions. We will understand each other before anything else.” “Done,” Arav whispered, his voice trembling with sincerity. --- Playful Yet Intimate The mood lightened as Ishika suddenly giggled. “You know, Arav… sometimes you sound too mature for a 19-year-old. Are you sure you’re not secretly 30 like me?” Arav laughed. “And sometimes, you sound like a dreamy 19-year-old trapped in a 30-year-old’s life.” Ishika’s heart melted. “You… you’re impossible.” “Impossible, yes,” Arav teased, “but only for you.” The conversation slowly slipped into more intimate tones. Arav imagined holding her hand, kissing her forehead, letting his fingers trace the line of her waist. Ishika, on the other side, imagined what it would feel like to rest her head on his chest, to let herself free for once, away from all restrictions. Arav whispered, “Close your eyes, Ishika. Imagine I’m sitting beside you right now. My hand slowly touching yours, my fingers locking with yours… can you feel that warmth?” Ishika shivered, actually feeling it. “Yes…” she breathed. “And then,” Arav continued, his voice deep, “I move closer, brushing your hair away, my lips almost on your forehead. I want to tell you without words how much I adore you.” Ishika’s lips parted, her breaths faster. “Arav… stop… or I’ll lose myself.” “Lose yourself to me,” he whispered. “Because I already lost myself to you.” --- Dreams Shared After a pause, Ishika softly said, “Do you know, Arav… I wanted to do MBA. I wanted to become a successful entrepreneur. But my life took a different turn. My family married me off right after school. And since then, I’ve been trapped in traditions, in duties. My husband loves me, but… I feel caged.” Arav clenched his jaw. “You deserved so much more, Ishika. You deserved to be a queen, not someone locked in a golden cage.” Tears welled in Ishika’s eyes. “But now… at least I found a friend who sees me beyond my roles, beyond my saree, beyond the boundaries. With you… I feel alive again.” --- The Night Ends Hours passed like minutes. They laughed, teased, got emotional, confessed their hearts, and shared their deepest fantasies. Ishika’s carefree laughter echoed through the night, and Arav felt like he had achieved the world. Before hanging up, Ishika whispered, “Good night, Arav. You’re… very special to me.” Arav smiled, his heart glowing. “Good night, Ishika. You’re not just special… you’re my everything.” The call ended, but the night remained alive inside their souls. Both lay in their separate beds, yet felt as if they were together—closer than ever. For them, boundaries had started breaking, and a new world was opening.
