Aiden and Sasha came to Zandra’s house first before going to their new home. To their surprise, Gabriella was there with her. The two did not know about Gabriella’s involvement in Sasha’s abductions, but she was the last person they wanted to see returning from their honeymoon.
“Gabriella, I’m surprised to see you here,” Aiden said with irritation in his voice.
“I came to see your mother and she told me about your wedding. I thought you had called it off,” Gabriella said with sarcasm.
“No, we didn’t . I love Sasha, and I convinced her to continue with our plans. As I told you on the phone, when the baby is born, we will have his blood tested, and if I am the father, then Sasha and I will sit down with a lawyer and work out an agreement with you. But, I would like to visit with my mother now, so if you don’t mind,” Aiden said curtly ushering her towards the front door.
“I…well, I…,” Gabriella protested, but Aiden handed her over to the butler and went back to the living room to his wife and mother.
“Aiden! That was a terrible way to treat a guest!” His mother scolded.
“Mom, Gabriella is definitely not a guest. She will end up suing us for everything she can get if that baby ends up being mine, which I pray to God that it is not. If it was my baby, don’t you think she would have said something before now? She’s using the fact that she’s pregnant to cause me and Sasha trouble. You know how manipulative she was before. I highly doubt the kid is mine,” Aiden said in aggravation.
“So, how was the honeymoon?” Zandra asked, ordering coffees for everyone.
“It would have been wonderful if two men had not kidnapped Sasha twice and threatened to kill her. We spent the majority of our time with those men and the police,” Aiden explained, clasping his hand around Sasha’s.
“Oh my, Dear, that is terrible! Did they get the men who did this?” Zandra asked, pretending to be concerned. She knew exactly what happened, because she was the one who gave Gabriella the money to pay the men.
“We did find out that the men were hired to kidnap and kill Sasha, but what has us puzzled is the fact that she doesn’t have any enemies, so they must have been paid by an enemy of mine. I have no idea who it could be, though, do you, Mom?” Aiden asked, knowing how his mother and Gabriella hated Sasha.
“No! Of course I do not know, Son. I cannot imagine you having any enemies. Surely it is someone who has had bad dealings with her, not you,” Zandra argued.
“I don’t know, but the police are interrogating those men. Hopefully, they will get them to confess who they work for,” Aiden said. “And when they do, I hope that person goes to jail for conspiracy to attempt murder,” Aiden said.
“Well, atleast you are home now, and you’re both safe, Thank God for that,” Zandra said, smiling.
“Will you be staying in the mansion tonight?” she asked.
“No, Mom, we are anxious to move into our new home on Ocean Boulevard,” Aiden told her. “I just came to get a few things and to let you know we were back. We are going to stop by and see her parents and then get settled in our home,” he explained.
“Alright, Sweetheart, take anything you need with you,” Zandra told them.
Zandra hugged Aiden and gave Sasha an evil glare that gave her an eery feeling that her “enemy” may not be far away from her.
“Goodnight, Dear,” Zandra said, giving Sasha a stiff goodbye hug for appearances in front of Aiden.
Sasha told her goodnight but began to wonder if Zandra had anything to do with the men who kidnapped her. She would not suggest such thoughts with Aiden for now, though.
