Take Me Back Where It All Began

Ara's POV The moon shines so bright tonight as if it reflects how i feel right now. I am at the rooftop of our building wearing a sweatshirt and my favorite pajama. It's 11:05 in the evening. And right now, I'm waiting for the clock to strike 11:11. Guess what I'm gonna do? Yes, you're right. I'm gonna cast a wish when 11:11 strikes tonight. Childish, right? Well,I couldn't help but wish. It's been part of my life.You know, just like a child, I also hold on to the the belief that when you cast a wish at exactly 11:11 and you open your eyes and saw a shooting star, whatever you wish will happen regardless of the reason, the purpose, and for whom you are wishing that for. I've been doing this for almost half of my life. I can clearly remember what happened that night before 11:11 in the evening. ***FLASHBACK*** (9 years ago) (Hours before the said night) It was one in the afternoon and we were on our way home from a one-week school trip. It's Friday today. I saw an old man pushing his cart with cotton candies, ice scramble and dirty ice cream. I felt bad for him. He looks so old with his white hairs and shaggy clothes and wrinkled skin. He was pushing his cart three meters away from our moving car. "Hey, are you listening? " Era snapped out my thoughts. We were sitting at the passenger's seat and she's sitting on my right. "Uhh, sorry what were you talking about? " I answered. Oh nooo, she look so annoyed she must probably talking to for a long time while I was busy watching the old man push his cart. I acted like I was listening "Look, mom and dad's probably not in our house as usual but I'm sure they remembers what's for tomorrow okay? And they might be preparing for it. So right now, could you please listen to me, you brat. " She convincely told me. "Yeah, yeah whatever. " I said. She rolled her eyes. I look at the old man, he stopped to drink some juice juice from what he is selling. We're almost near him. "Mister Black could you please stop right there? There, beside that old man. " I asked "Oh come on Ara, don't tell me you're thirsty and want to drink what that old dirty man is selling.There are a lot of it at home and we're almost there. "She hissed at me. Mister Black looked at me through the rear mirror. I can see he's on half of it. "Please? Just this once. " I pleaded at him. "Ohh, the bratty Ara is pleading Mister Black to let her drink the old man's juice. I'm amazed. " she annoyingly told me. "Shut up, Era-the-angel." I annoyingly told her. "Oh yes sweetheart, I am an angel. Right Mister Black?" She turned to him. "Of course you are not Miss Era." Mr. Black burst into laughter. "You two are really annoying and you're always getting on my nerves. And that's why I love the both of you. " Era said then leaned forward tge driver's seat and kissed Mr. Black. She got back to her sit and looked at me with a crazy look. Oh no, i don't like that look, she's a crazy witch. She then hugged me verg tight and kissed my all over my face. I tried to geg awat frim her but her hug is too tight and it's suffocating me. "Hey * cough* hey stop * cough**cough* stop right there." She stopped and look me then Mr. Black and then back to me again. They burst to laughter. I got some tissue at the back and wipe my face, there might be bacteria from her saliva. "Eww that's cringe and uhh, this is gross. " I said while finishing up my what I'm doing. I crumpled the tissue and throw it to her but they just burst to laughter again. "But Mr. Black ,please ?" I pleaded to him. "Okay okay" Mr. Black said while parking the car near the old man's cart. He turned to me and said "Just don't anything bad okay? You're too old to do childish acts. Understand me?" I didn't responded but instead, i tried to open the door but his way too fast and locked it. He gave me a warning look. I rolled my eyes.
